The hostel has a great location in the city center, which makes it very convenient to go anywhere. The staff is nice, the rooms are big and clean. I would definetely come back here !

I was a bit worried before i arrived as i read some previous reviews! I encountered great staff, perfect location and top value. (for Oslo!) I dont understand how people have said that the hostle is dirty? It was immaculate. I even saw cleaners cleaning the bannister on the staircase. I understand people commenting on middle aged people who live there! It is a touch odd, but the man i met who lives there while searching for an appartment was a cool dude. Definately returning.

Location was OK in terms of distance to the central station however neighboorhood was scary. The bed/sheets and all stuff in the hostel were very old and the complete hostel was smelling bad. Unfortunately this was the worst hostel I ever stayed

Would be better if there could be stronger heaters. Simple bottle of water with a few cups will make the room much more welcoming than it already is. Strength in the availability of DVDs. Will be great if it was properly regulated and checked so that they dont go missing from the reception. Perhaps even putting a few sets of poker chips or card games for rental would be fun to add to the hostel.

My wallet and camera were stolen from the room when I was sleeping. The door wasn't locked, but this happened to other people during the night as well. I've been to many hostels before and this has never, ever been an issue. It's a cheap place to stay in Oslo, but I highly recommend that you DO NOT stay here. The atmosphere is also pretty terrible and lots of strange people stay up at night and sleep in the communal area. I suspect that one of these people took my stuff.

This hostel has a really good localization but if I could come back to the past I would not choose this hostel again, awful atmosphere, every toilet is dirty, they don't care about cleanliness, I payed 35 euro to stay in the worst hostel in my trip, I have been to countries much poorer than Norway but I've never felt so unsafe in my stay in Europe as I felt in this hostel... I have been there just one day... and someone stole my camera... I talked to the owner who didn't do anything!

it's central but down a dodgy road next to what seemed to be a needle exchange. someone kept trying to get into our room at night. I don't know what their intentions were but they didn't respond when I spoke and ran off. i didn't sleep well and the sheets and towels smelt. very nice showers but was luke warm half the time. nice communal area. most expensive city in the world, also happens to be the most boring. £10 a pint. good luck getting drunk. snowboarding was the only good thing for me.

BEDBUGS. I got bitten all over the left side of my body and actually saw one of the bedbugs after the second night there. I did not stay the third night I had booked. When I requested a refund from the hotel due to the incident, I got none.

I had a nice comfortable stay, although in mixed dorms inevitably you will always be stuck with at least one really loud snorer keeping you awake all night. Staff were really friendly and helpful, nice kitchen facilities which are vital in Oslo if you can't afford to eat out every time. Other residents were friendly and mostly respectful - except one guy decided to sleep in my bed one night and left all my luggage in the corridor. The staff apologised though. Not a dangerous area at all.

The room was very dirty as well as the bathroom... The worst hostel in my whole life (I've been in 20 hostels across Europe...).

Great location, comfortable room, kitchen-lounge room available (I suggest you cook, the prices are very high in oslo), friendly staff. There's not much to say really, it's a great choice worth its money

There is a strange smell in the hostel, and I could see some middle-age people walking around the hostel with strange expression. The place is just so so, but it is right at the city centre. What's more, when I have difficulties, the receptionist change the 8 beds mix dorm to a 4 beds private dorm for me (just myself in a big room). It was so nice and finally I am safe. Thanks for the personal service!

The area in and around the hostel did not seem very safe. Because of the building it was located in, there were some problems with drunks and druggies trying to get into rooms to steal things. For the most part the bathrooms were disgusting at best, and the rooms smelled like death. A little more work from the owners would have made this a way better experience. I wouldn't stay at this hostel again, even if it was cheaper. Being in the city center made traveling to popular sites easy though!
