Lovely, friendly staff and a great relaxing place in a very picturesque setting. We stayed in the double room which was basic but fine. The restaurant is nice - not cheap but good food though there should be more selection, especially for vegetarians. The tiny pool is a nice spot for relaxing in. The orang-utan centre is a 10 minute walk away

Great Hostel, is very far out of Sandakan, but near the Orangutan Sacturary & the Rain Forest reserve, also there is a bus at 10:30 everyday from the Orangutan Sanc to the Proboscus Monkey, if you want to stay in the Rainforest, dont need to visit the town and only there a few days, this is the place for you Food terms breakfast is basic Toast & Cereal, which for the price is good, dinner and lunch is slightly expensive for Borneo but is lovely, definate must try

Beautiful garden and setting. Good restaurant but a little expansive for Malaysian standards. We slept in the basic double room. It was basic but clean only the floor covering was broken and that's why the first impression was not very positive.

wonderful garden and landscape around, nice atmosphere in the restaurant, especially at night. they have a 'jacuzzi', which is more a tiny pool, and we would have appreciated cool water in it after the heat of the day spent outside. Very nice food but a bit expensive though.

Lovely place in an amazing setting. The dorm part of the 'resort' was pretty run down. Lots of black mould everywhere, it would be so amazing if the could just clean it up a little

If the food wasn't so incredibly good, we would not have returned. Although the staff are all really lovely, the owner (curly hair, glasses) was quite rude. Firstly, she didn't seem to know how to recognize bookings. Secondly, she completely over-charged us in our bill. And finally, when there was a misunderstanding about something that she had said, she was very rude about it and did not handle it well at all. The food here makes the place- best food I think I've ever had!
