Can't say much about the hostel unfortunately bc Hostel World made a mistake so we ended up staying in our own private chalet. The grounds are lovely and he staff are helpful. The pool is small but great to cool off and the Orangutans are great!!

Beautiful grounds and location and friendly staff but other than that not impressed. Food was average and so overpriced. The dorms are in need of some tlc!! The bathrooms are filthy. Bugs everywhere and hair in the plug. Taps don't work. Dorm room was tiny and needed dusting! Door didn't shut or lock from the inside which was worrying at night. Only one plug inside the room for 4 people!

Such a beautiful resort such as the grounds, poolside and restaurant however the backpackers dormitory was very run down, especially the bathrooms. Having said that we did notice that they were decorating a few dorms and new bunk beds had been built so I think in a few months time it may look completely different. The food is absolutely delicious staff are very friendly.

We stayed one night in the dorm, it only had a fan so was quite hot and uncomfortable at night. Having only 2 toliet/shower rooms for the dorms isn't ideal. Theres only one plug socket in a four bedded room - this isnt the best! The location is good and in walking distance to the sun bear and orang-otan sanctuary. The staff here were all lovely and willing to help. As it is a resort the resturant is pretty pricey for us backpackers however the food was tasty.

The place is so beautiful. There you are surrounded by nature in a very calmed and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. We stayed three days in total and felt like at home. Either people from reception and the bar are awesome. We also booked 3D2N tour to Kinabatangan river and it was amazing. The price was fair and the resort was very new. I would definitely go back there.

This resort is absolutely stunning and has a real calming atmosphere. I went for the soul purpose of visiting the Orangitun Sanctuary and as its only a short walk, this resort was perfect. I stayed in the longhouse dorms which were very basic but what I expected for the cost. The restaurant was a real highlight with great food and Nicky really was the most incredible hostess. Would definitely visit again!

The staff were great at this resort, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was in a good location about 15 minutes walk away from Sepilok Orang Utan Centre. Very relaxing with a small pool to sit in, and excellent restaurant with very tasty food, though fairly expensive. Very nice atmosphere so was easy to meet lots of people. The dorm is small and only one shower and one shower for dorms, and a locker would be a nice addition, but definitely plan to come back, as loved my stay here.
