Walls between rooms are temporary plastic partitions. Most if not all rooms don't have windows.

Very good location, one bus from either airport. Close to China town, 5 mins walk. I always stay here when in K.L.

This hostel is spotless, we stop here every time we land in KL and will more than likely return. The manager is really helpful. Its basic but excellent!

A very good place to stay in Kuala Lumpur, central and close to the main public transport. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. The staff is very, very helpfull, anything you need they know how to get it and where, don't hesitate to ask for any piece of information, they will always give you good advice.

The walls are paper thin so you can hear all the other guests on your floor.

This place was great! Mr. Lee welcomed us warmly and took about 30 minutes of his time to introduce us to the surroundings via a map and make all kinds of great recommendations for us from where to go and what to see to great places to eat. We tried out almost all of his recommendations and were not disappointed. Thomas, from Burma was also very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed hearing his happy singing and whistling while he worked and cleaned. We will be staying here again.

I had booked a single room which turned out to be a 2-meter-by-2.5meter windowless cell. I initially thought I would leave again the next morning to find myself another place, but the bed turned out to be quite comfortable (albeit very small), the room and outside bathroom facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. I probably wouldn't come back because I wasn't happy with the room, but it's also not a bad place apart from that.

It's good that rooms are air-conditioned, given the humid and warm tropical climate, but the rooms need to be ventilated once guests leave - a fairly strong, not-so-pleasant odour greeted me when I first checked into my room.

The hostel was clean and the staff welcoming but the location is poor, chinatown is deserted in the evenings and is very dirty. The hostel was outdated and lacked an element of fun

Easy to access to and from transport. Staff always very helpful and had a wealth of knowledge on alternative vists to make and activiteis. Thought that for a central city hostel/budget hotel it offered good value.

Thank you for our very enjoyable stay at Serai Inn. We found the staff very helpful and willing to give advise on what to see in KL and how to get there. We appreciate that we were able to store our bags etc safely at Serai Inn on our last day there,so that we didn't have to carry them around KL all day, when our flight back to New Zealand wasn't until late at night ! Thank you for this Serai Inn ! We will be back to stay again one day ! :)
