Serenata Hostel Coimbra

Serenata Hostel enjoys a privileged location right in the historical centre of Coimbra. This area is a candidate for World Heritage of UNESCO. We're just opposite the Old Cathedral (Se Velha) and the University is just around the corner. Plus, the Coimbra A Railway Station is just a 7 minute walk away.

The building where the hostel is, is referred to as being of great touristic interest. The entrance hall has beautiful plaster and marble decorations, which date from the late 19th - early 20th century.

Rooms or dormitories are individually decorated according to Coimbra's university traditions. We have 4, 8, 10 and 12 bed dorms, but we also have more private double or twin rooms, with private or shared bathrooms. The accommodations include a seating area with modern furniture and air conditioning. Some have a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom.

Beds are supplied with free linen and you will have your own personal locker to keep all your belongings safe.
A daily buffet breakfast is served in the dining room and there is a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering.

At night, you can enjoy a stroll through the old town of Coimbra with its dynamic streets filled with typical restaurants and Coimbra's most famous bars and cafes, some of them where you can listen to Coimbra Fado which is sung only by male university students and has very romantic and intellectual lyrics.
If you decide to stay in, you can hang out in our lounges where you can meet people, relax, watch a movie, read a book or play a game. There is a chic bar and free Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the hostel.

Serenata Hostel is a usual stop for pilgrims that walk the St. James Way and come from all over the world, sharing different cultural experiences.
