the room was on the top floor (3rd I believe), but it was okay, there was no ladies bathroom up there though... but it was okay as there were no many guests on our floor, so I could use the guy's place, no one cared. (: the room was nice and simple, the bed was really comfy, the internet connection sucked a bit, breakfast was great and the location is awesome! if Coimbra, then Serenata (:
Great place for us older folks the stairs and climb up was a bit much age 66

The hostel was more of a hotel than a hostel - not much interaction. Staff was quite unfriendly.

hostel with best facilities i've ever seen: everything is very new and nice. but: the hostel is on a hill which is hard to rich if you don't come by taxi
Very nice Hostel. We stayed in a adjoining house where only two double bedrooms are located. Inconveniently, WiFi is not available there but everywhere else in the "real" Hostel. Serenata is great, and very clean. The kitchen is a bit small for all the people, breakfast is good but not the best we had (not really a selection of spreads available). Definitely recommended for a stay in Coimbra. Free parking is available close by at the university
The hostel is really nice and clean, and location is perfect since it is really close to the university and to pubs and bars. The staff is amazing, we were there on thursday when they organize social dinner. They cooked for us and went pub crawling together. They have been really friendly and it's amazing spending time with portoguese people. Totally reccomend it!
A hostel with clean beds and sheets in big room, good facilities and friendly staff. However it gets very noisy from around 11pm to 3.30am when big groups of youngsters gather at the pubs drinking and making lots of noises just outside the hostel. If you can sleep through such loud noises and don't mind climbing up some steep steps with your backpack, then this place may be fine.
Great hostel centrally located which means a walk up the hill on arrival. Staff friendly and helpful . 12 bed dorm nicely spaced felt more like 4 bed with curtain seperating room into three. Common areas clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Beds comfortable with individual light and powerpoint. Noisey outside at night. Would definitely go back here.
