Cold, dirty, far away, and unhelpful.

The toilet/shower area is disgusting and they dont provide toilet paper. Kontiki tour groups will keep you up all night if you dont have ear plugs. They have a shuttle which constantly goes between the campsite and the train station which is fantastic.

This hostel is good because it is cheap and has a good system to get in to central Rome. There is a free shuttle bus from the hostel, every half hour, to the train station and then just a 1 euro train ride to Saint Peter's. Be aware that although they have a 'no noise' policy at night, this is NOT enforced at all and you will be kept awake by drunk contiki teenagers all night long. I was also disgusted by the toilets and would have to search for a semi acceptable one to use.

Because of the cheap price, I though the place was going to be horrible, the most primitive place to sleep. But I was so wrong! The place was very idyllic little cabin village, with small wooden cabins to sleep in. The only downside was the outdoor bathroom and shower facilities, which were very cold during my visit (beginning of April). Some of the facets only gave ice-cold water. But it's all about your attitude. We were there to experience something new and exciting. That it was!

Nice place, good prices. Their chip card payment is completely stupid. You have to purchase a chip card with cash and all of their shops, bar and restaurant only accept it. Very annoying, they say its to avoid handling cash on the site, but then they could just accept credit/debit cards... But they don't. Staff at the reception is usually pretty cold, but the guys at the bars and restaurant are very nice. Also, last train at 22h00 from rome, which is REALLY annoying.

It is a cool place at a great price, I loved the private cabins and they had wonderful showers. I was not so happy with the lack of a kitchen and the location was pretty bad. It took forever to get to Rome proper. If you were intending to rent a car though, this would be a great budget location.

Cheap and cheerful campsite, clean bungalows and warm showers. Not too far from Rome but far enough away to encourage you to make the most of your outings! Staff were helpful and the free tourist map was invaluable! Would recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre

This place was an enormous let-down. The pictures on Hostelworld make it seem like an almost tropical get-away. In reality, it's a cold, damp, cramped cabin village with no helpful maps, extremely inconvenient shop hours, and terrible hygiene. The pool water was green and slimy, the gym equipment was rusted, and on our last night there, we woke up covered in ants. Most toilet stalls didn't even have any toilet paper in them, but the showers were ok. On-site stores close and open at weird times.

Owner Comment (Show)
Mr. Fein, I am sure you are aware that the summer season has yet to begin, and that of course the swimming pool and open air gym are closed to the public till they open officially in May. You trespassed in an area that was closed to the public; gladly there were no mishaps. This information is at your disposal on the website as well as in the hand out we gave you upon check-in. As for the shuttle, you were given operating hours as well as our availability to pick you up if you needed. The bathrooms that you were asked to use were in perfect and full operation, (we have 3 blocks, two of which were being disinfected and refurbished, and thus closed to the public). We do regret that your ‘inspection’ was negative; perhaps you would like to return, as our guest, and see how we work; while using the services that are OPEN to the public.

The hostel is actually a camping village and its really good for the price, the only problem is that take like one hour from the center of the city to the hostel.
