This is by far my favourite place I've stayed! Great food, great people working there and such a social atmosphere. Everybody at the camp gets to know each other. Sami and Atef will do whatever they can to make your stay as good as possible: arranging hikes, buses, you name it. Obviously no a/c or wifi but you can always get Internet at their hotel in town if you need it. One downside is rides to Petra cost 5JOD but split it with a couple people and it's not a big deal

A bit far from Wadi Musa, thus you must eat their dinner (10 dinar) and pay a hefty charge to reach the camp (5 dinar). Actual camp is a cool place, if a bit kitschy.

Great experience to stay out in the desert while visiting Petra. The only draw back is the camp requires a lift in and out of town or to and from Petra, otherwise the staff is excellent and will help you out with ANYTHING you need. Sami was extremely helpful - if you have enough time, make sure and take him up on the long hike on the back way into Petra. Definitely worth it! Cool atmosphere in the common tent to chill at the end of the day and relax with some tea and smoke hooka.
