Great location, clean room, staff very helpful.
My dorm room was accidentally overbooked so I was given a private room. This operates basically as a boutique hotel. Not a lot of interaction amongst travelers, but a great, quiet, clean, convenient place to stay at a great value.
It was really hard to find and had to stop and ask around many times. Make sure you have very clear directions from the airport before you book. Also we paid for a suite with personal bathroom..however once the money was paid the guy informed us that the air conditioning was broken, and he gave us a tiny fan..it was nowhere near enough cooling to keep us cool..super nice guy though. Really helpful with directions and advice for getting around. Location is good, if you want the modern turkey.
Wonderful hostel. Clean, modern, comfortable, and air conditioned, which was a relief after a hot day. The small kitchen was simple, but effective; the rooftop terrace above the kitchen was great at night. The one small downside is the location. It's close to Istikal Street and Taksim Square, but still- getting to the hostel itself is difficult. Some better directions would go a long way.
Lovely hostel, great staff, clean and comfortable bedrooms and excellent bathrooms - looked more like a hotel than a hostel in some parts! Would definitely return here.
SEARCH ENDS HERE Location could not be any better, right around the corner from a busy Taksim, this little hideout gave us the perfect stay in Istanbul. The room provided the best nights sleep we had on our travels; Clean(with a capital 'C'),Comfortable bed('C') & extremely Chic('C').To top it off, the two guys that run the place are absolute champs, asked for some recommendations and they delivered as two locals would! Very friendly and happy to help with any problem/question. THANKYOU SEYYAH!
This was our favorite hostel we stayed at our entire trip. The staff was friendly, gave us advice and answered all of our questions. They were also always available, sitting at the front desk in the entrance which added to safety a lot. It was clean, and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who is traveling in Istanbul, we just wish we could have stayed longer! We also loved the hostel dog, Seyyah, who we greeted every time we came in.
A good hostel, the only problems were that the common room and kitchen weren't in the same building as the rooms.
Owners were genuinely friendly and helpful. The only issue I had with this hostel is the common area isn't very good for meeting other travelers
Pros: Great hostel. Cons: Address is hard to find and somo cigarrete smoke in the building.
Great hostel, but hard to find. Maybe include a few pictures along with the directions?
Excellent, friendly and helpful staff with a great touch for the must-see's and must-do's. The rooms are clean and emit a fresh feeling.
Kitchen is very inconvenient being on the top floor
BEST SLEEP ABROAD-everything that matters for a good night sleep is provided. Comfortable beds, a real pillow and blanket plus the location is a quiet street just off of Istiklal so you are in the center without the disruptions. I stayed in both apartments and dorm beds so can attest the high standards and care are experienced by all guests. No corners are cut, large fluffy towels provided. The service is unmatched, leaving a luxury 5 star hotel to start your own hostel is not a bad idea.
Generally really good, a hostel name/sign out the front would be great as would a closer map of the local area and some tips of good restaurants/shops in the immediate area.
We stayed in multiple hostels in Istanbul and can recommend the Seyyah Hostel most. We stayed in the 6 bed dormitory which is very clean, has comfortable beds and a very nice bathroom. Also you can stay in a very nicely furnished common room with tv, internet access (via a pc) and a kitchen. Still, the best thing about Seyyah was the more than friendly staff, that made our stay very pleasant. Thank you, Seyyah!
