Awesome location and the staff was very helpful and nice. The hostel is quite clean but the room we got was very stuffy and smelly because of being right next to another building ;-(

Very central - within 5 minutes walking distance to the bund and central shopping areas and restaurants! Was more like a dorm rooms than a hostel - a lot of chinese students living here and not so many people travelling through, so not a great hostel to meet other people. But very cheap compared to other hostels in Shanghai.

Nice hostel, good location, not really much of an atmosphere. Got upgraded to a private room so can't complain

Everything was good, except for the day that one of the girls woke me up to ask for my passport. I believe that the staff have to notified the guest that they have a problem and they couldn't process the information of the passport and they will need to ask for your passport in the future.

I had a single room with shared bath, which was very bad value. A windowless hole under the roof in which you could barely stand up, with 40cm of space on one side of the bed. Terrible. Interenet was useless, too - every few minutes connection would be lost, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a few minutes. On the plus side is the very friendly staff and the location which is close to the bund.

The room did not have wifi, the signal did not reach it. The air conditioning was not very efficient.

Below average in all ways. Stay somewhere else.

One of the cleanest hostels I've been in China, however Wi-Fi has been quite a problem, even on the computers in the common room... Unless you only need to access Chinese sites (I'm not talking about blocked sites, but sites I usually use without VPN and work)

Everything's cool, except average hygiene and no private toilet for each dorm. The location is near to the Bund but a bit further from subway station.

The location was just a walk from the Subway and The Bund. Lots to eat and enjoy in the immediate vicinity. The second floor was offices, the rooms were quiet and the stay was very pleasant. The back exit, where the office entrance is, at night is very dark so watch your step.

They didn't sweep in the 5 nights I stayed there but generally great relative to other hostels in China. Two decent PCs to use in the activity room if you need to do some planning. Tons of people to meet and travel with!

The building is a bit tired, but everyone there was great. The staff bent over backwards to make maps and write things down in Chinese, so i could get around. The rooms were good, not great. I had a single room , and it was just fine. The sweet part of staying here is the location to the bund. Just two blacks and your there. The other diamond was the front desk staff, who worked hard to help me catch the correct train, and send me to all the destinations in which my guide book pointed me.

I stayed in a single room for 6 days right when I arrived to China to sleep off jet lag before going on to dorm with 8 bed. It was very comfortable, quiet room. The hostel about a five-ten minute walk from East Nanjing road exit 6, with some good restaurants nearby. The common area is a bit small. Overall, good experience.
