Staying in the dorms, we got a really good value for the cost. The building is nicely decorated, and on a wonderful historic street. The staff was friendly, easy-going, and spoke English well. The restaurant was a little disappointing, and soap and toilet paper were a little scarce, though the toilets were Western too. A very good hostel overall.

The Hostel is situated in a very nice cultural area. It is easily accessible by metro. The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean. The Café/Restaurant downstairs offers good western food and different kinds of coffee.

Good Hostel itself is quite lovely Balcony is really nice Small cats and dog are friendly Bad A bit out of the way Stayed in a dorm with an extremely rude, inconsiderate, drunk local who refused to have his loud 3 and 8 am conversations outside of the room. Not exactly hostels fault, but still a bad experience.

The room did no thave windows which seems commom in China, however the rooms and bathroom were dirty. Drink pricess were way too expensive for a budget accommodation. One of the toilets didn't have a seat and people seem to be able to smoke inside the cubicles so smelt bad.

Lived in a double room with my gf, and though it was small, it was very comfortable. Showers and bathroom were great and superclean. Nice staff, nice building. A little to far from the metro station to be ideal. Also it is located in Hongkou, which is a bit off.
