My visit was very pleaseant and i would recommend this hotel to anyone! Owner of the hotel can give you very personilised tour around the surroundings of Ipoh, and he will gladly also introduce you to the local food culture. As they say about Ipoh, it's a hidden treasure and I probably wouldnt have liked the city that much without Shanghai hotel!

Decent place in some respects... has air conditioning and local TV in the room. No hot water in the room though and a bit lacking in cleanliness. Other than that, okay. The owner is great and drives you around/guides you for 25 Ringgit per hour, well worth it!
