FANTASTIC LOCATION
We are one of the most central hostels in Beijing, only 5-10 minutes walk from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Qianmen bus & subway center. There is no problem taking transportation to anywhere you want to go in Beijing. We can provide you with a free bus and subway map when you arrive. Please see our map (in the picture section) and compare our location carefully with the other hostels. We are also located in a great hutong market street .
BUDGET PRICE
We are a large hostel that can accommodate up to 120 guests. We have a wide range of accommodation types to suit all levels of budget, and further discounts can also be offered to long-term guests and tour groups. We provide free safty lockers, big enough to fit an average-sized backack, with staff-manager so you can charge your valuables safely
SPECIAL STATUS
The Shanglin Hostel is perhaps Beijing`s most famous hutong courtyard hostel. It is a protected hutong building， with over 350 years of history， and is a main feature of any hutong tours around the Qianmen area. The Shanglin hostel is well-known for its colourful history. In the past， the hostel was a high-class socialising club for Beijing´s rich elite. Traditional meals and drinks would be served， with live musicians and singers playing in the background. In the present day， paying tourists can visit the hostel to soak up the atmosphere of this historic courtyard with intricate wood carvings.
Nowhere else in Beijing can you find such a great combination of traditional Chinese architecture at such a central location
