Shangri lagos was awesome. Really relaxed place to stay and has a great outdoor area for relaxing and meeting people. Not the cleanest of hostels, but I think most of the other hostels in lagos are probably at the same level of cleanliness, but it was so much fun it didnt matter. Traveling with a group of friends or on your own, this is a great hostel. Super friendly and fun staff. Would definitely go back! Thanks guys!

Amazing hostel. People who run the place are incredible. Felt very @ home the whole time. There was a girl at the front desk from manchester who is awesome as well. The owner even drove us to the bus station because we were running late. He volunteered out of the blue..incredible. GO GO GO

Had an amazing stay at Shangri-Lagos! Met amazing people, the staff were great and the owner Ben was super cool. The parties in town were insane and the warm-ups at the hostel were great for hanging out with everyone. Couldnt have had a better time. Thanks!

Earnest and hardworking staff that care deeply about how much fun the guests are having. No door locks or front-door key were minor inconveniences. Free mailboxes for locking small valuables and free baths towels a nice touch.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Guest, we are a 24 hour reception hostel, there is always someone ready to open the front door from our staff, it makes the Hostel safer when we are able to control who comes in, that is why there are no front door key´s, all dorms have locks in the doors dont understand why you have failed to see them, key´s are provided on check in, it is the guest choice not to have a key and ask the receptionist to open is dorm door. Safe Travels

A very special hostel that seemed more than a private pension. A living room to sit, garden outside and a very good equiped kitchen. The staff was great. I enjoyed staying there.

I traveled alone and I think that this was by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in!! I was only going to stay one night but ended up staying three! I would have stayed longer if I could have. There is such a comfortable atmosphere and everyone is so nice. They give a great map and good tips for things to o in the area as well. Very close to the beach and bus station. The breakfast was perfect (even ham and cheese) and the facilities were great (especially the kitchen).

A super chilled out hostel, the only problem is once you stay you may not leave! It is really clean (Paulina never seems to stop cleaning) and surprisingly comfortable. Really really excellent hostel staff make you feel like family and take care of you. It was great, excellent character. They seriously need to upgrade/renovate the bathrooms and doors though.

Myself and my friend had a great time in Shangri , we came for one nite and stayed for our hole trip . There's a sweet chill out place in the back ,chilled out tunes playing a nice hide away sitting room to lounge on the couch with a hangover :0. All the staff were really sound and easy to have the craic with , its kept really clean , just a lovely place to stay :)

The staff were extremely helpful at Shangri Lagos and the breakfast options were great. It's right in the heart of all the bars etc, but still quiet within the hostel if you want to get a decent nights sleep. I stayed in the 8 bed female dorm, the room is a little small if full as bags tend to get left around and floor space is pretty lacking. We were given keys for the dorm room, but it was never locked - although the main entrance of the hostel is usually locked.
