Very nice hostel in old house, you can feel atmosfer of real tibetian home!

1st day we checked in, we were very impressed with its special local contents. Then it was spoiled when piped water supply stopped. The hot water from solar system took hours to cool. Hence flusing toilet and taking bath were big problems. Answer was whole town same problem, but not true. We requested to check out, and eventually got our refund for 3-days stay, minusthe deposit. .The hostel should have water tank storage for emergency use.

very cold, but we did come to shangri la in the winter time. the front desk was very helpful. the ensuite rooms are so much nicer. cant comment too much, it was the off season when we came. dont come here or to shangri la in the winter time.
