Our room was rented out upon arrival by accident but the owner helped us to find a new one for that night.. Hostel had a laidback vibe.

Nice place, well located, but clean can be much better in bathrooms , rooms and the common area couches where the dogs live

I'm sure that if I came back to Cahuita I'd repeat in Shangri'la hostel.

We enjoyed the hostel generally, but found that the close proximity of noisy neghbour spoiled our stay somewhat. There was a big dog chained right outside the window of our room which barked and fidgeted all night. The shower in the private bathroom only had ot water for the first 30 seconds that it ran. Giorgio was a pleasant host.

A nice laid-back hostel in keeping with the relaxed feel of Cahuita. Plenty of wildlife around, including howler monkeys in the garden, and you can hear the surf in the distance.

My stay at the Shangri La hostel was very pleasant. The location is great, it´s just a two minute walk from town but also very quiet at night so you can get a good night´s sleep. It has a nice and spatious common area with hammocks and chairs where we would all meet during the evenings. Although the owner was running the place all by himself the hostel was quite clean and he made me feel really welcome. I would definitely stay here again!

This hostel is like a pearl on the coast. It is right next to the bus station and has a big garden with 2 giant mango trees, that give their fruits freely to tired travellers. All over the space are plenty of hammocks and the big patio has the welcoming atmosphere of a living room. The sanitary facilities were very clean and inviting and provided hot water. The beach is just around the corner. We had a wonderful relaxing time and it was worth the way from Limon. We highly recommend this hostel!
