Great hostel and owner. I come here often on weekends to escape the city.

Coco, the owner, is very kind and helpful and made my stay at this hostel one of the best nights in China. Just one thing, if you plan to visit the Shaolin Si, don't go to the Music Show at night (Coco will tell you it is a must)! It was way to expensive for what you get. They do not perform much Kung Fu (ist is more like a bad music show) and the Shows at the Shaolin Si (which are for free) are way better.

The hostel is only a short walk away from the main bus station where busses to Shaolin, Dengfeng, Luoyang leave. The rooms have a nice atmosphere and are comfortable. Everything was clean, hot water for shower, very comfortable bed and the best: a room for training Kung Fu. Coco was really nice and helpful and tried her best to make our stay unforgettable. Nearby are small restaurants and local food can be experienced. We will definitively stay here again when we are aroundthis area.

The staff at the Shaolin Travelers Hostel was fantastic. Our first morning, they showed us to restaurants for breakfast without us even asking. Tina showed up at a restaurant we had gone to in order to help us order food, as the menu was in Chinese. Cocoa was very hospitable. We were there over Christmas and it felt like home. The room was beautiful, and the atmosphere was friendly. We couldn't imagine a better place to stay. We

Pros: AMAZINGLY helpful staff! Coco walked us around to all the best street food in the area (3RMB for a delicious sandwich on the corner!), and Tina waited at the Train Station to buy tickets for us for 4hrs+ so we'd be able to travel during a busy school holiday. Only 20min cab ride away from Shaolin Temple and Pagoda Forest which were very cool! Yummy, home made breakfast, and cheapest beer we've had yet in China. Nice atmosphere in lobby area. HUGE bed and HOT water! Cons: Smelly bathrooms!
