I recommend to everyone who want to visit Petra. The staff are impossible to be better, friendly, helping all the time, giving all the informations we need. I was about to stay 1 nigth in Petra and i stayed 3, without changing the hotel. Restaurants, pharmacy, markets, ATM less than 2 min walking. Jordan is well represented here!!

An amazing find! Simple yet perfectly clean. Everything we needed. Possibly the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever met. They were accommodating in every respect and made our stay so much better for it.

The hotel owner was extremely kind and welcoming, always offering us tea or coffee and making himself available for rides to Petra. He catered to every need and interest we expressed. Great value and surprisingly personalized service. We would definitely stay there again!

The owner of the hotel was very helpful, although in the end we payed too much for a taxi to Wadi Rum for which we payed in his hotel. Overall it was absolutely brilliant, but you have to watch out for hotel owners - taxi drivers cartels!

My room was very clean and was cleaned daily (over 3 nights). Soap and towels were given. The air conditioner worked very well. The owner and his brother were very helpful and friendly. My shower head was a bit awkward, but the staff aim to please if you tell them about problems.

We\\\'re a fiftyish Canadian couple. Shara mouintains is more a budget hotel than a hostel. The rooms were a good size, clean, beds were comfortable. A/C worked great, lots of hot water.Located 300m from the centre of town. The owner (Mahmoud)is absolutely great, he arranged a trip to Wadi Rum and had the bus bck to Aqaba pick us up at the hotel. He probably saved us 2 or 3 times the cost of the actual accomodation by helping us out.

The staff tried to charge me for a single bed private even though I had chosen sharing bed, because there was no body there at that night, so I slept alone! and they did it because I was in a hurry!

Worth the stay from the kind and honest help of the owner. A great example of Jordanian kindness. I would stay here again and recommend it. It was also by a wonderful and delicious restaurant called El Arabi (I think! ask the owner.) Thank goodness for air conditioning!
