We loved staying there, our 6 beds ensuite bedroom was good, only the bathroom was quite smelly. Awesome staff, good location. Definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay here but it definitely wasn't one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The people were very social but the rooms were so cramped and dark. The bathrooms also could have been a lot cleaner. I also wish the lockers were free.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms were ok, nothing special but comfortable enough to sleep in. They have a kitchen and a living room area with boardgames and few tables. It was a nice hostel not too far from the city centre, I would definitely stay there again.

Our 6-person room was small with little space to manoeuvre but the room was quite cosy and comfortable. Unfortunate location on a hilltop means that those carrying heavy luggage will struggle to travel to the hostel.

I spent 3 nights there last week and it was just lovely. The staff is really nice and the hostel overs several places where you can just sit down with a cup of tea and read for a little bit. The 24 reception was a big plus for me as I was leaving and arriving at impossible times, so a big thanks for that!!

Water pressure and temperature in the male bathroom were erratic.

I found the beds really comfortable- no springs sticking in my back. But it's a rather large hostel, so it's harder to have that friendly atmosphere. Kitchen could use a spatula or 2. You also have to pay to park anywhere in Cork, including the parking lot in front of the hostel, which is crappy, but no fault of the hostel

Nice Staff, nice view if you are in the right room, but the hostel is up the hill in Cork (a big luggage might be difficult to carry up there) Clean and warm :) (private rooms really small though)

Sheila's was perfectly serviceable. Location is a bit removed from main bar/restaurant/pub/club area, which made getting home late at night a bit of an adventure. Co-ed, pretty clean bathrooms; doors close at 11:30p and you need to knock and have someone let you in. Bru's, another hostel nearby, seems to be the party hostel and Sheila's is more low-key. No mirrors in bedrooms?

Really friendly staff willing to accommodate needs in anyway possible!! Fantastic location. Easy to get to from bus station and short walk to made shopping district. Loved the little cafe at the reception area. Great to just sit and enjoy a tea!!

The propritoress of this hostel, Ms. Laura, is a perfectly charming and helpful woman. The hostel (a converted Georgian) is clean and well-kept, but it's location on the outskirts of Cork Central leaves a bit to be desired. Parking is not at all an option, and there are no nearby markets or cafes, but in many ways this is one of its virtues. To wit, if you're looking for a clean, quiet and sane place - hoping to avoid the partying atmosphere of many hostels - you could certainly choose far worse

very big hostel, staff is strictly business (though friendly - printed our bus tickets for example). Very clean, big kitchen, but gas cookers. Wifi works in the common room only. Everything is very clean, you get big towels. Breakfast is a rip-off, as it costs extra and is very simple. Heating was low (in April), shower is hot, but you need to keep pushing a button every 2 seconds. Summary: cheap and clean, but missing atmosphere!

It was unfortunate that you have to pay for secure storage, most hostels at the least provide lockers that you can use with your own lock. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. Paddy at the front desk is a very informative and nice Irish gentleman!

Great marketing. We would never have found the hostel except for the signs.
