It was unfortunate that you have to pay for secure storage, most hostels at the least provide lockers that you can use with your own lock. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. Paddy at the front desk is a very informative and nice Irish gentleman!

Great marketing. We would never have found the hostel except for the signs.

Tiny rooms, smelly toilets, old building and average facilities. We were a group of six and spent one night on an Ensuite 6 bedded room. The room was rather a corridor than a proper room, no lockers and a very cold and smelly bathroom with no wastebin. They make you discounts on a couple of local bars and takeaway food shops. Will not recomend it...

It's very good place with comfortable rooms and nice staff. They even have a sauna! I like this hostel and if I'll come to Cork again, I'll stay there. But, maybe a little disadvantage is not a big choice for breakfast. But it is the usual thing for continental breakfast.

Only stayed here for 1 night, but the rooms were clean and the bathrooms for the most part were clean as well. Pretty good location, although it is not right in the centre of the city. But it is easy enough to walk to everywhere you need to go.

I enjoyed my stay in Sheilas hostel by meeting new people and the hostel was well maintained, staff was cooperative. For a short stay this is a good place.

We are a couple and spent 3 nights in the hostel. We had a 2 bed room with a nice view over Cork. Everything was fine.. The only thing I could complain about was that you could hear a lot from the neighbour rooms (talking etc.). But generally that's nothing to complain about when staying in a hostel :D So everything was fine

Good hostel. Staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean every day. Secure locker storage is cheap and the beds were fine. My only gripe is the push buttons on the showers which require constant repressing, not to mention it is impossible to regulate their temperature. Wi-Fi was free, but only accessible in the common room. Location is excellent, right in the city, although the hill up to Sheila's can be a bit draining to take every day. Amazing view though. Overall an excellent stay ****

I stayed there for two nights, and I did not like the fact that there was no window in the room where I stay. Another point the shower was dirty, rooms were cleaned daily but not the bathroom. This is a bad point. I think my experience could have been different, if I would have stayed in a different room. Nevertheless, the lounge area is small, and what you see on the website is not a true reflection of the hotel itself The mark I give is 6/10 for this hostel.

Very close to the city centre. Nice to have an ensuite in the room. Noisy at night time but this was expected on St Patricks Weekend! The staff were friendly & accommodating.

What amazing staff at Sheilas hostel. I did not catch the gentleman at the counter's name, but he and the rest of the staff were nothing short of amazing and welcoming. The environment was lively yet quiet enough to get some zzz's every night. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Cork.

Very friendly and helpful staff! A good location and very clean, efficient hostel. Nice facilities (i.e. the kitchen & dining room) although I though the paid services were a bit pricey (specifically laundry and the breakfast).

Fantastic location. Very nice staff. There is the kitchen with hot water twenty-four hours. There is not only English plugs in hostel but also standards plugs. I met it first time though I visited a lot of Ireland and UK hostels.

When we arrived at the hostel early, we were greeted warmly and allowed to store our luggage for free until check-in. The staff was incredibly friendly and printed off schedules and made great recommendations for local businesses and things to do. Great kitchen with lots of people cooking. Small but comfortable rooms.
