I enjoyed my stay at Shelter Jordan. The rooms are single-gender and they are packed (18 in my room) which can be a turn-off for some people. The bathrooms seemed to be big enough and were clean. The hostel is a little bit out of the center city, but it's really close to a tram line and the Anne Frank House and Amsterdam is incredibly walkable, so that's really not a problem. All in all, I liked the hostel, but I may stay somewhere with fewer people in each room next time.

Linens were fresh. Dutch food tasting was lovely, & the free breakfast was a tasty. Also, I'm not Catholic and did not once feel awkward or out of place. Wifi was only in common room, & then broke on my first day & still wasn't fixed 3 days later. No compensation offered, and staff was not helpful with alternatives, had no suggestions for internet cafes etc. Shower floors gross. No public kitchen. Not a very interactive common room. It was a disappointing stay.

It's a hostel with quite a central location, and good friendly staff. Breakfast at the cafe is not bad as well. However, when I was staying there (in the 18-bed-dorm) the other hostel customers weren't the friendliest or the cleanest lot. The lockers are abit small as well, probably enough for just some hand luggage but if you are travelling with a big luggage, they allow you to put it in a store room opposite the couner. So do bring along a few padlocks with you for your luggage and locker.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Shelter Jordan. Especially the location was perfect, and the breakfast included was simple and good. One night I joined for dinner at the cafe for only 4 Euro, and it was very tasty and good. Traveling alone this was a perfect place to stay.

The facilities were good and the staff was very cooperative. One of the girl at reception also lended me calculator and other stationary to give a test on that day but I believe that hotel was overpriced. Four people room was very small. It was very difficult to even walk in the room.

Easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, there's free hot breakfast, and it's a great location. I'm probably heading back to Amsterdam in a month, definitely staying here again.

Luggage storage with security measures. Shower cabins with place to put the clothes and avoid it to get wet with the water from the shower. Possibility to eat our own food in the caffé's tables.

We enjoyed our stay at shelter Jordan. It was in a really good location in jordaan area. , quite easy to walk to from the station if you follow their instructions, even with a suitcase. The free breakfast is really good. There were some really friendly American college students volunteering there when we were there, and they were really nice to talk to. It is quiet, which is nice. Bathrooms were clean.

The Shelter Jordan is a nice relaxed hostel. We arrived on Saturday evening around 7pm and were treated to a free Dutch food tasting at 8pm. The staff was really nice and helpful and the facilities were clean and quiet. My only complaint is that our room was too hot during the night, but perhaps we just got unlucky.

You are allways with other people, mind that they could come back late in the night or get up very early in the morning. I was sleeping with other 12 young ladies, so practicaly no sleep at all :) but everything else was great - breakfast, safety, friendly atmosphere, spirit of this hostel - perfect.
