It is a great place, close enough to all that happens but still far enough to chill out. Staff have been great and make you feel at home. They are so genuine and you can feel part of their community. It is a really special place, lots of poeple, stories and always helpful. Very different hostel experience to the general bagpacker...definitely to recommend. Thanks guys for making me feel welcome and at home :-)

Location was excellent and the staff wonderful. A little long time to check me in but otherwise a perfect place for the budget traveller.

Great breakfast. However, for a drug free hostel, i was woken up far too many times by people who were drunk and/or stoned. Not the ideal hostel by any means.

The rooms were very clean. And I truly liked the location which was slightly off the beaten path, but still very central to all the city. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and pleasure to interact with. Great job.

I was surprised to find that this was a Christian hostel. I don't recall that being very obvious the HostelWorld page when I booked. Suggest the fact that this is a faith based hostel be made more obvious; not that I had a bad experience because it was, just that if you are going to present a faith message, it should be made clear to potential customers that this will be the case.

V friendly, relaxed place - not somewhere to party, but definitely somewhere you can feel comfortable and welcome.

Was there for 2 days and felt very uncomfortable. It was freezing in the room and one of the toilets was overflowing the whole time (GROSS!). The ONLY nice thing about shelter jordan was the breakfast.

I would come back if I have the chance, as this hostel is pretty clean, cheap yet including breakfast, and considerably quiet (if you need some space and are not a party animal). Internet connection could be better. Ingrid, Sydney-Australia.
