3 Dorm Rooms are small, bed hurt my back. Showers ok. Was suppose to be there for 3 nights, but left after one night towards another hostel. Staff was friendly and reimbursed me.

Nice location, though the nice location means mostly nice expensive restaurants. Staff mainly good though some are pretty brisk, I enquired about the location of typical Chinese cheap but very tasty food restaurants/street food. He looked put out and couldn't direct me anywhere. FYI there is a good selection further up on the street far side of the supermarket next door. Little bit pricey by Chinese hostel standards, even compared to Shanghai but good 3 bed only rooms, ]and big airy bathrooms.

Very nice place! located in an interesting art area, with bars, bookshops around, and not far away from metro station. The atmosphere is really good, people are friendly and staffs are helpful. Will come back if I visit Shenzhen next time.

Although out of town the area is wealthy, safe, clean, and interesting itself so worth seeing. Getting to CBD is a $7 taxi ride.

I had a good stay here except the first night..my friend booked a bed for me and told them i would be arriving at 12 midnight..when i arived they had given my room away and told me that my friend wasnt staying here. i called my friend and he came down and then charged me half price for me to sleep on the couch in the living room . the staff were very rude and always stressing us out with how long we were stayign even know we made it clear of what dates we woudl be leaving.. great hostel but

Besides the mosquito orgy that wouldn't let me sleep, everything was pretty much as expected. The staff was great on the couple of things I requested info on. It's not a convenient location but it is in a safe and quiet area. The highlight of my stay at the hostel was my dorm mate, an interesting Canadian dude, who was on his second year bicycling aroun the world and now through out China. All and all, not a bad place to rest your tired bones.

Staff very helpful and able to have backback in storage before room is ready by 1400. The common bathroom/toilets are clean and well maintained. Will recommend this YHA!

Great location/facilities/cleanliness, but the staff have no idea how to run a Hostel. They turn what should be the simplest of tasks into a horrible ordeal. The night of our arrival they double booked my friend's bed, causing him to have to sleep on a couch. Then the messed up our booking again later down the track causing us to change beds and rooms far more times than necessary.

I really enjoyed my stay: the rooms were clean and only three people in the room. The staff was nice. There was a kitchen area and a fridge available and no need to buy food form the hostel. It was great that the music was quiet in teh communal area and there was no force to buy drinks from the hostel while sitting there (it is so common in other hostels). Thanks to the fact it was quiet I could focus on working and I had many chances to chat to people. The only problem was slow internet.

in the other 2 financial hubs (SH and BJ), one is spoilt for choice for a dorm bed, but there is almost no other alternative in SZ. just heard about this new apartment hostel which should offer some competition, but going by the pic, it sure looks like they are are cramming in the dorm beds, whereas loft is really (relatively) spacious, 3 beds to a room, super clean sheets and wired internet in the dorms, wifi in the lounge. girls are friendly, so is the male team leader, new guy a bit surly.
