Very nice hostel, lovely room with everything you need. Quite near the Yamanote line which is very convenient for exploring Tokyo. The staff is very helpful. Thank you!

24 hour reception, helpful staff, personally I enjoy sleeping on the floor but note sleeping area is not big enough to put both mattresses down, had to stack one on top of the other. very comfortable though. enjoyed the free green tea too.

This was our first hotel in Japan, and the experience was wonderful. It is within walking distance from Shinjuku station, and very close (2 min) from Shinokubo station. Hotel is wonderfully decorated, clean and nice. It is a bit tight and rooms are tiny, but this is Tokyo after all, what do you expect. Staff are simply wonderful and helpful people. Rooms are very japanese and nice, traditional style. Would stay again!

Excellent hostel! Brilliant location, so close to the train station and very close to major places in Tokyo. Couldn't have asked for better there, and at a great price!! Incredibly helpful staff, we were offered (much appreciated) extra futons to sleep on! And we were also given tips on the cheapest way to get to Narita airport! Room was a good size, and with a good en suite too. Would definitely recommend.

The room might be too austere for the money you pay, but you will hardly find anything cheaper around Shinjuku (15/20 min walk). It´s clean, english speaking staff, 24h reception...but the check-out time is just 10am, so not a good choice if you want to go out at night

Thank you for a very enjoyable stay! We liked being outside of central Tokyo and able to stay in area with locals. The staff were a fantastic help, friendly always trying to help. Facilities extremely clean and in great condition, thanks again!

It was a nice hostel, and the staff was excellent and very kind. The facilities (shared small kitchen on the top floor, and fridge and electric kettle in the room), the rooms (cosy and with enough space for opening the luggage easily), everything was great.

This place gave a good feel of traditional japanese accommodation. However, the rooms were very musty and smelly from the bathroom and we were not able to open any windows. The water pressure on the shower was pretty poor also. On the upside, it was very clean and the staff spoke good English.

I strongly recommend doing your laundry at a nearby laundromat instead of at the hotel. Their laundry machines take a very long time (90 minutes to wash, 50 minutes to dry) and are not very effective. I had to dry one batch of clothes twice. If you overload the washing machines, they will keep washing your clothes without end, and you will have to manually remove them from the extremely cold water. The staff, though very polite, was unhelpful in solving my washing machine dilemma.

Good experience sleeping on mats. Wasn't the most comfortable thing. Good location, close to train station, restaurants and bars.

The hostel is very special and traditional Japanese style, located at the alley which easily found by google map on iphone. The interior design of the room is delicate and warm with all kind of amenities. The staff is helpful and they are so nice to give us clear picture about how to get to the airport. By the way, the baggage keep is also good so we can get back our bags after half day shopping in shinjuku. Thank you all and hope to see you again.

It was a really great vacation. The hotel is not far from supermarkets and the train station, but located in a side way so it wasn't noisy. The staff really was nice and helpfull. We had our own bath, which was very comfortable. We really liked our stay there and will come back as soon as possible.

Great hostel... They were nothing but nice... Unfortunately i got really drunk and then yelled at them for not letting my friend stay there -- we ended up paying for him after i threatened to write a bad review. So this is a bad review... about me, the guest. My bad.
