About Shiplake Mountain Hostel
Please note that Shiplake hostel is near a town called Dunmanway which is 35 miles outside Cork City.
Stay in a charming traditional stonebuilt farmhouse or in one of the romantic gypsy barrel-top caravans nestling in a superb setting on the foothills of the Sheehy Mountains just 30 km from the south-west coast. Our hostel is a peaceful and relaxing haven for singles,couples and families alike. Find the great variety of natural and historical treasures this off-the beaten-track countryside generously offers. Enjoy a true paradise for walkers,a gentle challenge for cyclists or the splendid views over the coastline on one of the mountain hikes that we will direct you on. Recover afterwards in a friendly, homely atmosphere by the wood stove.
We have delicious home cooked food available and a small grocery shop on site.
