The hostel was really nice and the staff very friendly. The rooftoop is the best part of the hostel, with the best view of the city. And the food is amazing there!

Although booked into Shivam Paying Guest House I actually stayed at Ganpati Guest House which is owned by a brother. I switched for several reasons. 1. I was told there would be someone to meet me at the train at 5AM.... there wasn't. 2. When I arrived at the guest house, I was given a mattress on the floor in a spare family room until checkout at 10AM. 3. A room wasn't available until almost 11AM and in was dark, and looked out on a cement wall of electrical wires. 4. The location noisy.

I booked a pick up and I reconfirm 2 days before, but they forgot. Then when I arrive at 23 p.m, they told me that I have to change the hostel, and after 20min when I arrive to the other place, they told me that I'll be is Shivam. There no hot water and the room was a bit discusting. I will not recommend this guesthouse. Ah! i saw a mouse in the rooftop restaurant.

for me, the location was alright. jodhpur can be a small town if you just go around sadar bazaar and the fort, where this hotel lies right in the middle. however, it is relatively far away from bus pickup points and train station. my room is not exactly very clean, but tolerable. free wifi only from the roof top- good since they have free wifi, bad if you are living on the second floor and have to climb all the way up to use it. staff is friendly. value for money.
