It's a fun, safe place to stay that is accessible to town and the falls. But do not stay here if you want quiet time!

The atmosphere was great with a Saturday night every night feel. Good entertainment and great location. The room was basic but clean. We didn't have any water for one night and morning due to the water being diverted to a volleyball competition which was not helpful. The food was a problem for me as I am gluten intolerant - as it was over the Christmas holidays there was a basic menu in place that all contained gluten but I was told that normally the menu is very good

Shoestrings has a good vibe for both the locals and internationally travelers. The pool and central bar/hangout spots are great for socializing. Unfortunately you can't find cheaper accommodations in Victoria Falls. The hostel/hotel is nice enough but in other locations your money will go farther with nicer surroundings. If you want things cheap and nice...go to Livingstone. It's farther from the falls but better bang for your buck. Vic Falls is expensive but accessible.

Nice place. Some more hooks in the rooms would be useful. Vic Falls in total is horribly overpriced.

Great hostel with a lively atmosphere, including a small restaurant and a bar. The staff are very helpful in booking activities in Victoria Falls. There are also three adorable dogs that live there. It's a 25-minute walk or a $5 taxi to Victoria Falls and the Zambian border. My only complaints are that the hot water wasn't working and you have to pay a small charge for Internet, but these are to be expected from a hostel.

Great hostel! We had a wonderful time! The lady at the from desk could use more friendliness. Works really slow and forgets you are waiting to be helped. Everyone else including bar staff and the manager provided us with useful information about the town and activities and just helped us in multiple situations. Very friendly and welcoming. We are comin back next year.

As a family group of 4 we booked a twin and a double private room. The double room was very hot (caught a lot of sun), the bathroom dirty (especially the blackened shower area), water irregular (getting caught covered in soap in the shower with no more water was not the best experience) and the mosquito net promised in all private rooms non existent - not great as the room was alive with mosquitoes. And when we raised this at reception, the staff really didn't want to help.

Nice place, good location. Some of the dorm beds didn't have proper support, could feel the slats through the mattress which was too bad - but other than that okay place.

This hostel was the loudest most annoying hostel that I've ever stayed at. I didn't get a wink of sleep until 3 am... Thin ways and no quiet hours. Also, I thought the staff was a bit annoying and it was overpriced.
