Great place that is a bit more socialble than the vic falls rest camp, nights are fun and days are cruisey. My first hostel in africa and well above my expectation.

Overall a nice stay, despite an initial mix up with rooms, we requested a 4 bed dorm but were allocated an 8 bed dorm, thankfully a friend had booked an additional room so we were able to resolve the problem. If you are rafting or going out on any early trips do not rely on the kitchen being open at 6am!

The room was pretty on par with other hostels, however, our bathroom was pretty disgusting and the perimeter of the room (including edges of the bed, pillows, tables, that were against the wall) were covered in white powder appeared to be sawdust or paint sanding. Couldn't tell for sure, but whatever it was, it got all over our bags and made it difficult to determine where to put your head for sleeping. That was very disappointing as well. I enjoyed the atmosphere though.

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was perfectly suitable for what we needed. The perfect budget accommodation choice for Vic Falls. Very close to town and the falls and very cheap compared to other hotels in town. Rooms are basic but do the trick, they offer dorms and private rooms. The restaurant is excellent. we are so glad we booked this place rather than paying $200US for the next cheapest hotel.

The facilities were dirty and the refrigerator was so filthy that mice were living inside. Several of the rooms are located next to the bar which didn't quiet down until after midnight. Also our food was eaten for us during the night.

Nice and friendly staff. People are filtered at the entrance to avoid strangers coming in, and the insides are quite safe. The outside also, because police are often walking around to make sure tourists are free to go where they want. However, there are many local inhabitants that have nothing elso to do (to survive) than to try to beg or sell a tourist a wood carving of some kind of animal (elephant, wild pig, old money bills, etc.) You will find the wild pigs roaming around the streets in town
