We stayed in an apartment with its own kitchen area and bathroom. It was a little hard to find, but that's because we tried to go to 22R and not 22 (which is past via Chiara; don't turn down it). The apartment was well equipped and had a/c, which was a blessing in the heat. It was lovely having somewhere to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were also fine with us checking in late and checking out early - just let them know in advance, as they aren't always there.
We walked into shortstop and pleasantly realized we had an apartment for five people! It made our stay in Florence wonderful! The view from the terrace was my favorite part. Thank you!
Really enjoyed our stay. Sort of difficult to find but that could have been our fault, we were very tired! Also no microwave which was annoying. Very very centrally located and clean though so would reccomend!
The location of ShortStop was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues with the room that could've been easily solvable. Two of the main lights didn't work, two of the stove tops were extremely difficult to light (in fact we didn't succeed!), the TV didn't work and the towels smelt very damp. These minor issues had very little impact on our stay, but they were disappointing. The room and bathroom were fantastically clean though!!
Our room was beautiful! Was completely worth the money we paid, despite being slightly more than we were used to. Would recommend a stay here to anyone!
Location could not be any more perfect! A short walk to the main train station. You have markets, restaurants, plazas and supermarkets right outside your door. We stayed in an apartment so cant judge the hostel itself but the staff were very helpful. Only problem is the kitchen - its there but there's no oven/ microwave/ kettle, just no basics to heat up our food. But honestly the restaurants around make yummy home made meals.
Everything was good except for the flight of stairs to the apartment.
Fabulous option! I'm normally a hostel girl however in Florence beds in a decent hostel are pretty expensive in comparison to other cities. I stayed in this apartment (which is actually attached to a hostel) with a friend for one night (she is not a hostel girl!) We had a great time! The room has a super view, fridge which is very useful, and private bathroom. Would 100% stay there again.
In one word: LOVELY. It is necessary to point out that I stayed at the Double Bed Private Ensuite and I have no idea how the rest of rooms will be. Mine was basically a private apartment with private bathroom and kitchen located in a romantic attic from which you could overlook florentine rooftops and the amazing Duomo. Lively and young atmosphere. 5mins to train station. Lots of markets, stores & bars around it. ONLY 1 INCONVENIENCE: It is located in the last floor (4th) and it has no elevator.
