Showbiz Inn at West Street Reviews

Extremely rude manager. I put my 20$ cell phone to charge on top of my bed and then I went on the roofbar for an hour, when I was back it was stolen. They have cameras filming who goes in and out of the doors and the only people who went in my room were me, my friends (who I travel with) and the cleaning lady. When I told them that probably it was the cleaning lady to do it, the manager start yelling at me and being extremely rude...very bad experience. There are many better places close by.

The bar was a very cool place to have a beer as the sun went down. The location was great and free laundry made my day. The overall value is really tough to beat.

It's important to realise Showbiz, Hostel 11 and Monkey Janes are all located on the same road, within spitting distance from each other, so by way of location - each is as good as the other. However, Showbiz trumps the other two hostels by far in terms of cleanliness and room size. There is an excelent rooftop bar which boasts the best views in Yangshuo; it may not be as wild as Monkey Janes rooftop, but I would recommend staying at Showbiz and partying at Monkey Janes; if that's your thing.

Showbiz Inn for the most part was a pleasant stay. It is located in a back alley from West Street which was good because it faced away from all the noise at night. The staff was very friendly; they helped us book our bus tickets, made calls for us to check on the availability of activities and helped us with anything we needed. The rooftop view was great and sleeping areas were clean. Only bad part was that there was some mold on the ceiling in our room (402). I would come here again.

Absolutely fabulous hostel. We stayed in both a dorm room and a private twin room. Both were clean and spacious. Facilities were really good and the location is perfect.

Location is excellent, just a few steps away from West street and not noisy! The view of the Roof Top Bar is stunning! Clean room and friendly staff with good English. But I just can't connect to the wifi in my room, I can only use it in lobby... I was in ensuite room, no toileteries, no hair dryer and no boiler in room, but I'm fine with it :)

Lovely place, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great location and best roof top bar in town.

This place is absolutely amazing, I loved it. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help. I can only recommend this place. The hostel is like directly next to the shopping street, not far from the bus station, everything you need is just around the corner. If you plan to go to Yangshou, stay in Showbiz Inn

The place was just located on the West Street near LiJiang, it was clean and the river view on the top was nice too. I stayed for 2 nites, on the second night, I back to hostel around 11 and had my shower around 0:00 and I found the shower was cold, later the staff told that she thought I had shower already and the heater was off! I waited till 1 sth and the reheat was not work, it was only 3 degrees and it was hard for me to sleep.... It's a pity cos besides that everything was very good.

The hostel is in the centre of town just off the main street making it close to the party but far enough to get a good nights rest. Staff are very helpful and the rooftop bar has great views of Yanhshuo.

Good, clean place to stay with great location. Staff was average, helpful enough - only complaint was the (mountain) bikes we rented from the hostel were pretty bad. Nice heaters in the room.

The hostel was great. The dorm was cozy, clean and comfortable.

we just had a great time at this hostel : the position was great, private rooms very nice and clean and the pool on the roof in an amazing lanscape was great even if nobody else was there (it was the 21st of January, not exactly the best time of the year to be there)! great and helpful staff too! thanks!

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Large and clean hotel style room with excellent wi-fi. Staff were very helpful in booking tours and arranging bike rentals for a good price. Did the cooking course which we would highly recommend. Very hot shower too which is good in the cold of January. Would stay here again if back in town so definitely recommend!! Has a nice roof-top bar which in the warmer months looks a great place to hang out. Nice lounge downstairs!

The hostel is very nice for backpackers. The location is in a small alley near the main walking streets. They also have a rooftop bar but there was nobody. So for partying with other westerners better go to Monkey Janes. The rooms are clean and also the bathroom is very good for that price. The staff helps you a lot for getting around in Yangshuo.

This place was awesome!. The staff were definetely some of the best we have come across through China, very helpful and so friendly. Our experience here was great, they helped us get bus tickets, rent bikes and a few other activities. Enjoyed our stay here 100% would reccommend to anyone and will prob go back.. Oh and roof top bar is one of the best!!

Good location (quiet small street next to the main shopping street), clean, friendly and very helpful staff! Great roof terrace! I would go there again!
