This is an excellent hostel in a great location. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable and common areas are clean and great to get together. Traveller's cafe is fantastic, very good food. Has a fantastic bar in the basement. Maybe only one thing - we arranged for a pick up but then we didn't meet anyone at the station. Was very busy there so we just probably didn't see them. I would definatelly recommend this hostel to everyone! Staff are very friendly. Keep up the good work guys!

Place was great with friendly staff and cranking club in the basement. Bathrooms weren't the best, but that's hostels right? Only gripe would be staff not telling us there was 40 yuan charge for buying train tickets through them until it was too late and the tickets were brought. Seems like a steep surcharge per ticket.. Definitely walk up and grab your own tiks

This is one of my favorite hostels I've ever lived in China. The staffs there are really friendly! So funny and warm-hearted! Love them so much. Besides, Park Qin is excellent! In a word, strongly recommend this hostel!

Great hostel! Friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff, nice rooms, great cafe. Had a fun dumpling night as well. I went on the Terracotta warriors tour with the hostel and that was great, Jia Jia was an excellent tour guide. If I come back to Xi'an, I will definitely stay here again!

Had a good time at the cafe and bar. The staff helped us with anything we needed. One of the least stressful trips I have been on.

The hostel was good for the purpose it served a cheap night stay to visit the local area. The showers were cold on the floor we stayed on but the gentlemen in the Hostel were friendly and helpful. There was a lady in the hostel when we arrived - i think she was a tour guide in trying to get us to book a tour which was overpriced - other than this the hostel was clean and the bar downstairs was excellent!

Pretty hostel with a nice atmosphere and a great bar. Many local students go there and many of them want to practice their english - it's easy to get in touch with them and with other travellers there aswell! Rooms and showers were warm, no freezing. Staff is very very friendly and they provide you lots of information. We joined the tour to the terracotta warriors which was 240Y per person. 30Y extra for lunch, organized by them in a local restaurant. It was a good choice! We'd stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and I cannot praise them enough. Great location in the city, cheap and comfortable rooms, food and bar plus they sorted all our excursions and meet us at the airport. Stay here!

While our stay at the hostel was nice, it was ruined our last morning there after the front desk person woke us up 40 minutes late- we almost missed our flight. The taxi nearly ran out of gas on the way to the airport, so I wish that he would fill up before. No one came in to change towels or renew the toilet paper, and we were there for three days in the hostel. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful though, so that was the saving grace.

I like Sauyuan hostel, it was easy to find, the staff were friendly and helpful, & it was a good place for the price. I had no problems while I stayed in Xi an. All the places I like to visit the staff were more than helpful to arrange day trips.

We loved it, but the prices in the restaurant and Park Qin bar were a lot more than I expected. Although I will definitely recommend it.

This hostel DEFINITELY lives up to its name. The bar was right underneath our room and the party literally NEVER stopped. Now for those of us who wanted to sleep it was problematic, BUT if you want to party this is definitely the place to be. If you want to sleep, however, you should choose another hostel.
