I had some problems with the wifi here. The reception staff were very friendly. There is a bar downstairs when the hostel bar closes which is fun. I'd definitely stay here again

We have been to Xi'an twice now and both times, we loved this hostel. We even plan to go again pretty soon! The staff at reception are helpful and the general atmosphere of the place is lovely. It's right next to the South Gate so near to everything that you'll want and downstairs, there's an amazing bar which you can't miss out on!

This is a great hostel in Xi'an - perfectly located within the city walls and near all the sights and full of atmosphere. The Travellers Cafe was amazing and dumpling night proved lots of fun. The rooms were big and the showers were hot. We had two incidents including a blackout and problems with the shower but staff were friendly and helpful in working to resolve these issues. If you want to party there is a hidden (very loud) basement bar with live music just downstairs!

Overall, the hostel was OK, but not great.

All staff are friendly with competent English, and its location is superb, where you can walk from airport bus stop near Bell Tower. Dorm room is nice and clean, but the bathroom is situated outside the room with squat toilet. Good deals on one-day tour booking including the Tang dynasty show with dinner. I will definitely stay here again if I happen to revisit here.

Heating and insulation during winter are insufficient and makes it rather cold in the room, especially at night. Cleanliness also has room for improvement as we found insect repellant in the room - many months after summer!

I liked it, friendly staff, low prices, nice, clean and cute place. BUT its not the best place to go there in the winter... ;) it's a courtyard, and when you want to go to the bathrooms you have to go out in the cold. we found one bathroom with heater, in the 1F. oure room was in the 3F! and the next western toilet was also in the 1F and just without heater! In the summer this must a realy nice place, with all the seats in the courtyard. Sockets in room were already loose so the plug fall out.

Reception staff during the day were fantastic, the night guy wasn't interested in providing any help! restaurant staff weren't very cheerful. Bar below the hostel has great cocktails :) dorms are comfortable and clean, we would stay here again :)
