It is a bit out of town, so If you don't have a car (as I did), it is a bit difficult to get there, However, once you have arrived, it is a home away from home. The place is run by a nice British lady who keeps the place meticulously clean and is always trying to improve the place. There's small dorm rooms and wooden cabins te sleep in, a nice kitchen and fridges you can use, free WiFi and a small lounge area. I only stayed one night but had a great time nonetheless.

The reason Maarten had a problem getting here, was he booked and arrived the same day, and it was a Bank Holiday in France, 9th May and no buses run on Bank Holidays! As soon as I received the booking off him, I did send him a email asking him to get in touch, and if he needed a lift in I would collect him. But unfortunately as soon as he'd made the booking he went off line, so he didn't get back to me. I think he may have forgotten it being a Bank Holiday when he did the review. Tracy

The website is an accurate reflection of the place. I stayed in a room in the main house, which was very convenient, and the village itself is quite attractive. Tracey is very sociable and helpful: she's got lots of info on how to get the most out of the area. I very much enjoyed my stay there.

A lovely (but far too brief!) stay with Tracy who is an absolute star. The hostel is roomy and welcoming with comfy beds and a toasty warm log fire. The location's slightly out of the way, but transport connections are cheap and reliable and it was wonderful to retreat from all the hustle and bustle to an idyllic village for some serious chilling out. I'd heartily recommend Sidsmums to anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay whilst exploring Carcassonne and the surrounding areas.

This was an awesome place to stay!! Highly highly recommend it. It's set in such a beautiful little village, and Tracy (and family) make you feel like you're at home away from home.

Tracy was one of the most hospitable people I have ever met - it was a bit out of Carcassonne, but Tracy was happy to arrange for lifts into the city. Had a great stay.
