it´s the best choice for those that come by car, splendidly located in a beautiful village where you can relax and from where you can explore Carcassonne, Toulouse, etc... Jan, George and the black cat are the best :)

Sidsmum's has simply been the best place I've stayed in Europe. It has a great atmosphere, wonderful people, and Jan is extremely kind and attentive to her guests. It really felt like being home more than staying at a hostel.

I absolutely loved this place and had an incredible time! I am planning to go back next time I am in France. A thing you should know though: Make sure you bring enough cash and pay Jan as soon as you arrive or she may forget to bill you until the last minute, which can be a problem since there are no ATMS in Preixan, and Carcassone is 5 km away! Another thing, if you are not the athetic type you better rent a car, cause the action is kind of far away. Otherwise, IT IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!

Sidsmums has set the standard for all other hostels and it will be difficult to beat. Jan is very welcoming and has created a truly comfortable and friendly place which is both fun and relaxing. She has catered for the traveller's every need and has made it so pleasant that no-one wants to leave!
