Really cool hostel to meet people and have a drink. Pool table and tv room was a cool touch. Rooms clean enough and food was pretty decent too. Would recommend.
I could not recommend this hostel more! Run by a guy called Phil who couldn't do anything more for us! Was travelling alone and met so many people! Hot showers, great location and free vodka! :)
Great hostel run by an Australian guy called Steve. Very friendly and helpful for our entire stay. The guy working nights is brilliant and a good pool adversary. Was able to sort out our visa for Vietnam in 1 day without having us having to do anything apart from giving them our passports which is very useful.
Excellent location, rooms nice and clean, 3 toilet and showers cleaned everyday as well as the rooms, very nice and helpfull staff, includeed Philip the owner, always ready to help you. He mades me feel as a friend since the first moment, also Steve the manager of the garden hostel was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very cheap too includeed a full breakfast (drink and eggs or pancakes), free drink in the evening! Moreover book-exchange library, poolsDefinitely the best Vientiane Hostel
Thanks to philip and his hardworking, friendly staff for a lovely few days in vientiane. Clean, friendly and includes breakfast. Very close to the temples and nice restaurants. The staff also helped us organise vietnam visas and bus to luang prabang, and we felt nothing was too much for them they were always there to help. Also offers excellent city tour with viya who speaks excellent english and was knowledgeable and great fun! Thanks sihome, would recommend to amyone
Great hostel in Vientiane. Good social area/bar downstairs with pool table. Showers and toilets very clean. Just outside centre of the city but within easy walking distance. Nice comfy TV room with air conditioning. Can't fault the place.

Staff were very friendly and always happy and willing to chat/help. Art work around the building is really cool. This was a great one night stop of for us to grab our Vietnam visas. Defiantly recommend.
One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The owner and all the staff are very friendly, especially Dave. The free breakfast is delicious and definitly required as they provide free Vodka after 9pm. Great place to meet people and a really good location. My only negative would be that the bed is pretty hard, but they are hard everywhere in Laos. If I return to Vientiane I would head straight for Sihome Backpackers Hostel.
The staff are fantastic I'll say that for sure. Was a bit disappointed with the hostel overall given the rave reviews. The facilities were decent but they could definitely use some more common areas. Maybe clean the patio a little more so there aren't as many flies. Overall it was a solid 7.5/10!
Place was awesome, staff friendly. We had to leave for our flight at 430 am and the general manager..billy I believe.. Made sure we had toast and tea in our bellies before we left! It was awesome and greatly appreciated!
SiHome is a fun and social place, with good facilities, a fair location and kind staff!
Sihome is a great hostel. We had a beaut time, met some great people, staff fabulous, food good and room clean..
Philip the owner is an incredibly helpful and friendly person. He was up at 5am when we turned up and thoroughly looked after us until we were able to check in. We stayed in the 8 person dorm and it was outstandingly clean it had air con, fan and individual plugs and lights. There was a really cool tv room with a plethora of TV shows and movies with the floor made out of cushions
Good hostel with great facilities, the owner an Australian guy was fantastic and went out of his way to make you feel comfortable and welcome, he also offered us the use of all the facilities at their sister hostel down the road. Free breakfast was great too! Would recommend!!
I stayed at the Sihome Gardens, the newly opened second hostel. It had only en open a couple of weeks but everything ran smoothly. It is a more relaxed atmosphere compared to it's sister hostel down the road which is their intention - to have environments that can be used by guests at either hostel to suit their needs. Steve & Phil are very friendly and always looking for ways to improve the service & artists to decorate the walls!
I just like the location and the staffs and the owner, they are very friendly and helpful..
Stayed here for 2 nights and would definitely recommend to anyone. Traveled across Laos and this was my favourite hostel of the lot. Staff members Jon & Oliver were great to speak with (even at 5am jetlag-o-clock) and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time and knew what was what in town. Was there for one of the weekly BBQ's, again - top marks on that front. Thanks guys :)

At check in room was not ready so we took one of their tours. Tours was just ok. Upon our return there were no rooms available management arrange for us to stay at a near by facility, The Vietiane Garden Hotel at the same nightly rate. This This was a nice upgrade.
