The staff were a bit rude when I needed to change my booking. However the hostel is fantastic- very very clean and the kichen is really well equiped. Beds really comfortable and rooms spacious.

Easy access to downtown and bus stops. Supermarkets on the way. Large modern 3 station kitchen. Plenty of room to spread out and not too busy. Quiet in rooms for easy sleeping. It is winter so try to choose a bed with an electric cord hanging underneath...you\'ll need it! It is a brisk 8-10km walk up the river to see Haku Falls, the path goes through a Thermal City Park and the trail looks very Jerasiac Park. Once you get to the falls you can cross ask them to call the $4bus.

Absolutely spotless everywhere, haven't seen a cleaner hostel to date! Owners are lovely and friendly. Is more of a 'flashpackers' lodge (as the name suggests) so there are a mixture of travellers here including families. Nice TV room and not too far out of town to walk. It is such a large building it never gets warm except in the lounge and if the heater is on in your room so bring some thermals!
