1. Showers were warm 2. Great location 3. Staff were mostly helpful 4. Wifi worked well 5. Security during the day was good. However, every night people would invite people from other hostels back.. as there was no receptionist this meant the "parties" in the hostel could last until 2.30am.. it also created a security issue where non-guests were in the rooms & hostel late at night. 6. There's a fridge in the kitchenette but no stove etc. 7. Super comfy mattresses!
Stayed in the apartment which is separate to the hostel. Was in a good location very close to the centre of the old town and right near the bus/train/ferry terminals. Is a good option for groups., but not as much atmosphere as a regular hostel, so it may be difficult for people on their own to meet people. Still, it was a very good option and would recommend it for people looking for something a bit more private.
Excellent location and the staff are really cool if you get to know them. Erwin let me check in early, which was very well received after a 16 hour train journey from Budapest, and then shared some beers and chatted about Split and the places to go. I'd definitely stop here again.
The location could not be better and the staff are so friendly and helpful! The only improvement would be air-con in the rooms but this wasn't so bad. Brilliant hostel!
only stayed for 1 night in 6 bed dorm, it has all the facilities. The location is the best part of hostel. Room is clean and spacious, quite good value.
This hostel is pretty central in Split, and very small and basic. It's got a real homely vibe to it, and everyone that stays there seems to get along. There are no real kitchen facilities to speak of, but there are usable shower rooms and toilets. You can do laundry there, but it hangs out to dry over the side of the hostel! The staff are really friendly and super helpful, couldn't fault them. Overall I had a good couple of nights there.
Very good location, right next to the old palace and close to the ferry + bus station. It was a bit of strange construction, room 3 had to walk through room 2 to get to their room, so in fact there were 12 people walking through your room instead of just 6. I didn't really liked one of the staf, because both mornings he was a bit grumpy or something. I didn't feel welcome to ask him for any advice about the city or transport.
Greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The dorms were clean. There was a locker freely available to each guest. Great location for all the sights. Only downside would be that there seemed to be only one shower in the men's bathroom and one shower in the women's bathroom for all guests, although it was still very clean and the bathrooms are spacious. Have stayed here both times on my brief visits to Split and would stay again.
The hostel staff where very knowledgeable about things to do and where to go they where also very friendly and fun. the beds where comfortable and the airconditioning was a must especially when it was hot. I would def stay here again. Erwin (one of the staff) was awesome aswell as Josepia. It was like a home away from home and so close to the beach and diacletions palace is right out your window.
Overall a good hostel with a very partying atmosphere while I was staying there. Staff was very helpful and full of good tips. The hostel is very well located and near the railway station and next to a entrance gate of the old town as its name infers. Only one shower in the male bathroom. Can be limit if the hostel is fully booked.
The staff and the atmosphere of this place is amazing. I've been to 4 different hostels in Split and this one is by far the best. Would recommend highly.
