Four friends and I booked at the silvermion for 3 nights but ended up staying 5. The couple that run the hostel are amazing and helpful. The location is great and recommend the Dum biryani restaurant down the road. Great for backpackers and hippie types on a budget.

Maria and her husband John take such good care of all the guests, treating them like their own children, and truely caring about your needs. The surrounding are beautiful and the location perfect. Just know the lodgings are very basic. Shared bathroom has hot water, but not toilet paper, ants were a problem, and the bed is rock hard. But then you aren't paying for luxery, and you could certainly do a lot worse.

The hostel is pretty well located and has great facilities. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, young people around and nice rooms facing each other with garden around. The wifi was working but was quit slow, still useful. There are plenty restaurants and also many cafes around. The owner was helpful arranging taxis and trips when requested, so I can only recommend the place.

Friendly, relaxed and with a decent traveler vibe. Stayed in a 3 bed dorm which was spacious and clean, with lockers and en-suite bathroom. Owners rented out scooters at good prices, and were very nice and helpful in general. Would recommend.

My brother and I originally planned on staying at Silver Moon for the minimum 3 nights before moving on to Asterix but we ended up staying for two weeks! Maria and John are great and will help you with anything you need. The dorms are cleaned everyday. And its far enough away from the beach that its quite at night but close enough that you can walk there in 10 minutes. We had a great time at Silver Moon and we were sad to leave. Thanks Maria and John for everything!

good place to start your india trip. Very friendly owner Maria, who helped a lot in organizing pickup from the airport and bus tour to Hampi. Guesthouse with beautiful garden around. Simply but nice. I can recommend.

A nice place, with a very nice staff. It was too expensive but we were there for the 31st of December... An effort should be done on the cleanning.

Very friendly and helpfull. Had a wonderfull stay there, only down side was when i mentioned i was getting bit by bed bugs each night and showed Marie my bites she told me it was ok. Was a bit surprised by response as i expected a bit better response from my otherwise wonderfull hosts

I enjoyed my stay at Silver Moon. It was exactly what I expected from an Anjuna guesthouse. The room was comfortable, it's quiet, the other guests were pleasant and very considerate, and it's located exactly where I want it: far enough from the beach and the road to be quiet (you can hear the birds). Now I need to clarify one point, value for money, I stayed with Maria from 28/12/1012 to 1/01/2013, the peak of the high season. The prices are ridiculously high, not value for money! Nowhere!

The owner is too materialistic and opportunistic. Rs. 3800 per night for that room is daylight robbery. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned after 3 days. There is no soap, towel etc provided. Everything under the sun is charged!!! takes the "Home" out of home stay. Extremely sad and disturbing way to start the new year.

Stay elsewhere. For a whopping 60 Euros per night no toilet paper was included, no drinking water and we had bugs all over the bedroom and bathroom. It really spoilt the vacation for us. Poor communication. I booked a double bed room and emailed beforehand about the possibility to have an extra mattress my friend and I wouldn't have to sleep in one bed. Host did not inform us about the possibility to change to a room with 2 beds, which apparently existed.

The hostel is in a perfect location equally close to the busy party area of Anjuna beach and the beautiful and peaceful Vagator beach as well. The staff of the hostel are very kind and helpful. They can help you with transportation tickets, scooter rental etc. They even have a small shop inside the guesthouse with reasonable prices. We really had a pleasant stay in Silver Moon. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I had a fantastic stay at the Silver Moon in Goa !! Lots of fun with the roommates in the dorm room. We got a good deal on a motorcycle rental through the owner of the hostel. Silver Moon is very close to the beach and there is lots of restaurants around (I recommend going to the Oasis, 5 mins walk) If you need a nice place to stay and meet some other travelers this place will work for you.
