Property Information:
Silverfern Backpackers is a new and friendly hostel with excellent facilities, including three lounges with 50 Inch Plasma TV's - one especially designed for movies and sports with Sky TV. We have a very spacious lounge to relax in with Wi-Fi available throughout the property. Guests will receive free high speed Wi-Fi on their arrival (Book for a week and receive 1GB of free Wi-Fi!).
All rooms have opening windows and natural light. Our hostel has been specially designed for comfort with all new furnishings.
A games room with a pool table and internet facilities are available as well as outside courtyard with BBQ facilities and seating areas.
Our modern kitchen has ovens, microwaves, cutlery and cooking utensils for our guests to use. A spacious and highly comfortable dining area is also attached to the kitchen. Our free breakfast is served from 8am to 9am (During winter June to October).
Our clean and modern bathrooms have been designed to be spacious with 24hr hot showers.
Car parking and bus parking facilities are available on site. Trips and tours, along with campervan rentals and car rentals, can be booked at reception.
Immigration Services (Work, Student, Visitor Visas and English Language courses) can be arranged at the hostel.
We are close to supermarkets, banks, cinemas, Queen St, Aotea Square, K-Road and the Sky Tower.

Beds are comfy and rooms nice. The owner must be making a mint on the Internet though... ridiculously expensive in comparison to other places. Washing facilities really great and mostly clean. Think kitchen may have given me good poisoning but is mostly ok. Staff not really great, brusque and difficult to get their attention, waited for quite a while at reception a couple of times. And they do make you pay more for later nights... but you don't change rooms. SO STRANGE!

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Reception is open from 7am to 9.30pm. Please arrive before we close. There is a $50 key deposit.
Photo ID is required at check-in.
The person whose credit card was used for the booking must be present at check-in. Please note that 4% is charged extra for credit card usage upon payment on balance of the bill; there's no charge for eftpos.

A surcharge of $10 applies if you only book one night in a double or twin room.
There is a maximum of 5 nights' stay in the 12-bed dorm, then you must upgrade to the 8-bed dorm.
