Sinclairs City Hostel Reviews

As most the customers were young foreign english language students this place is great if you want a quite hostel, on the bus route to both the beach and the city, which is also within walking distance of the city and Central Station. As you only have to share with one other person it feels like a house share rather than a hostel. Free breakfast not bad. Not sure what gbackpackers would think of it but recomended for those not wanting a party hostel. Quiet despite being on a very busy road.

There is no reception so when we rang the door bell we was made to wait untill a man eventually came, no welcome or good feel about him, just took our money and gave us the keys (we had to ask what room we was in). The lady who runs the joint is possibly the most rude person I've come across whilst travelling. She addressed one of the guys with "oi you, oi! how much orange juice have you had" she spoke to us in a similar way to. My advice, I've stayed in better places for the same price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Lovely breakfast. Room was good, only 2 in each room. Bit of a trek to get there. Staff friendly, especially Jen. Great to have wi fi.

The breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip so far. The hostel is perfectly clean as it gets tidied up every day by the hard working staff. The manager seems to be quite harsh but if you are nice to her she is nice as well. All in all a very good place to stay. We would definitely come back.
