As Hong Kong accommodation goes, this is probably the best value you're going to get. Top location right on Nathan Road (good for shopping and eating) and easy to reach by airport bus. Big plus for not batting an eyelid when we woke up an hour late for checkout! By the rules we should have been charged but they didn't even mention it.

Very good hostel for the money. As long as you are nice to them they will be nice to you! All I need in a cheap budget hostel is a clean bed and bathroom, which they have! The rooms are not old looking and looks clean I recommend this hostel. Especially if you're in Hong Kong to renew your visa since it's very convinient. Just 2 stations from the Visa Center.

The toilet and shower facilities on level 6 were absolutely disgusting and not private but shared with people who were presumably long stay residents. The location on Nathan Road is very central but Chungking Mansions have a very seedy unsafe feel about it despite the security guards. The web site states that all the rooms have air- conditioning, T.V., and alarm clocks. Mine did not, nor was a laundry service provided as stated: I was directed outside the hostel to an independent laundry shop.

I write this review on behalf of my girlfriend, because I stayed at Singh as well. I was deeply impressed by the convenience including nice staffs and clean room even though the room size was a little bit small, which was no problem with me. There are enough security cameras for your safety and a clerk who is ready to help you at any time. When you have a problem with your company, Mr. Manjit will offer you a temporary place to crash which is his office couch. :) I really thank Mr.Manjit.

When i arrived, they didn't have a bed for me, but the boss owns 12 hostels in Chungking Mansions, so I quickly got another room, which was perfect! A little 3-bed dorm, but it had everything you needed. I was very satisfied. The staff was really helpfull.

The location of the Singh guesthouse was great, however the room was very dirty, and next door to the guesthouse there had been an altercation, so when we were heading to the room for the night we passed by several police officers, a man with his nose completely shoved in, another man who'd been punched in the mouth, and there was blood EVERYWHERE. Not the best thing to see before going to bed. I would not recommend this guesthouse for single female travelers. It did not feel safe overall.

Absolutely wonderful, friendly and helping staff. Near the Bugis mall and Metro station. Located on Arab street, even Little India is near.

Centrally located in the heart of Kowloon with convenient access to the metro system. The hotel is what you pay for; its cheap and its functional, but you probably won't be spending one second more here than you need to sleep and to shower. The water is hot and the sheets are clean. The staff can check you in but won't be any help with traveler's questions. No common area so meeting other people is unlikely. I moved on to a more expensive hostel with atmosphere and people the next day.

The toilet at the mix dorm was never clean; when I got there it toke the staff 25 minutes to get me a room, even though I booked a room beforehand, and then I got the wrong room and had to change later. My bed was an extra bed they had put into the room, and half way through my stay there, they removed it and all my stuff without warning. I know it sounds like small things but there was more than this. Overall, I just didn't like it.
