I booked the private room. The staff who checked me in was great. The building is a little old and worn with many long- termer. Cleanliness is okay. In general, it's served its purpose. A little noisy till very late but ear plucks helped. Location is up the steep hill but not too far from town. A pain if you're carrying a lot though.

Decent hostel--has all of the essentials, and staff is really friendly! They were always working to keep the hostel clean--thank you! But there are a lot of long-term residents here, who--while they may not intend to--make travelers feel like they're encroaching on their space. So stay here if you need a place to crash, but don't stay here if you're looking to meet other travelers/socialize at the end of the day.

Dorm room really bad maintained, outside the main building. No protection for when raining. Bathroom and shower room also not that clean and need improvement.

Bungi Backpackers is a large, social hostel option in Queenstown. I only spent one night there, but the staff was extraordinarily friendly and supportive. Hostel and facilities are older and somewhat run-down, and the WiFi was spotty/non-functional. The kitchen is smaller, and fills up quickly. There is plenty of off-street parking. Hostel seemed to have lots of long-termers staying there, and can be quite noisy at night.

There was no wifi because the router was broken. Staff offered no way of making up for this even though they acknowledged it was an issue they needed to fix. Staff also closed down reception earlier than the hours posted so I couldn't get a towel to take a shower.

It is very well located, walking distance from shops, restaurants, Queenstown Gardens. The staff is friendly and make free soup everyday in the evening. There is free parking and they offer lots of information about yours and special deals. Although, the place is very noisy all day, specially at night after 10pm. There are lots of long termers. The staff vaccums the place around 8pm. The Wifi is awful. Bedding was dirty.
