Really beautiful hostel, rooms and outside courtyard. The kitchen was really good and very well equipped. We stayed in the loft private double and it was very tastefully done. The location is a bit out of the old quarter of town so it is a bit of a distance if you want to walk (but still doable). But it is conveniently located on the tram lines. Many grocery shops nearby.
Liked the thoughtful and pleasant design of the place, outside the Prague centre but accessible by trams. You can hire tram passes by the day which is great. Chilled atmosphere, and frequent events like the games night and local walking tour.
This is my second stay with Sir Toby's would should be indication enough that this is an amazing hostel. The first time around I stayed during the busy season but even in off season there is plenty to do inside this hostel and out. The staff is incredibly helpful, wifi is strong, great breakfast, hostel is clean. The location is 3 tram stops outside of the Powder Gate, I prefer this set up as you aren't in the hustle of the city and get to stay in an authentically local neighbourhood.
Socket is definitely not enough for everyone, only 6 sockets in 10 bed room, and the socket are on others bed, very inconvenient to charge your e-devices. (now everyone has at least 2 devises -- Smartphone and Camera/Pad/ND) Location for me is ok, just take tram to Metro. Shower room is too small, always touch the shower curtain when shower. have to bring your locker to use the cabinet (and it's not very clean)
The only down side really was that the kitchen didn't have an oven - but that's not really a make or break for us! Walkable distance to town and the train station. The rooms had lockable drawers to put your bags in. Laundry service was good. Kitchen and common area were good. Overall a happy stay!
Staff very accommodating, atmosphere brilliant. Lot of activities to get everyone together. Special thanks to Ivana for her friendliness and enthusiasm... and our chocolate! Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone traveling alone and keen to mix with people from all over the world. Even if you would rather keep yourself to yourself, there is a perfect reception area with maps, vouchers and computers to help you organise your next adventure! Best hostel yet. Thanks to all staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff, everything was clean. Absolutely great valur for the money !
most fun i've stayed at- the pub downstairs was great for meeting people, such a good atmosphere, more hostels should have this
I had an excellent stay at the Sir Toby's. Was really the Best Hostel that I stayed during my Eurotrip.
Amazing bar, brilliant staff. Bathrooms were constantly flooded but just take shower shoes.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Lovely people, fantastic breakfast, free dinners every once in a while, cute courtyard, really helpful staff! 100% stay here if your going to Prague!
The hostel is pretty nice. The location is a bit far away from the center but you can catch the tram to go there. We stayed in a 12 bed dorm. Everyone has a large box to save his belongings but you have to bring a locker. The staff were very helpful. They have a fully equipped kitchen (you have a supermarket 5min away from the hostel) and a bar where you can order some drinks.
Very nice and clean, good value for money, helpful staff with good english skills. We had a private room though, and despite the information poster saying they would respect our privacy, someone from the staff actually entered our room without invitation at a really bad time...
A boutique-style hostel, with a very cool basement bar / common area and kitchen. Warm and friendly staff, and all the usual facilities. Pretty decent buffet breakfast for about £4, and a supermarket nearby. Only downside is its about a 10-minute tram ride north of the centre, but its easy enough to do and means the area is reasonably quiet and relaxed. Probably our favourite hostel we stayed in during a month in Europe!
Hostels like Sir Toby's are what makes travelling the such wonderful experience. From day 1 the staff were so friendly and helpful and when my stay came to a end, it felt like I was leaving my second home. The downstairs bar was very chilled and the nightly activities were a lot of fun (the quiz gets a special mention.) The kitchen and facilities exceeded my expectations. If I ever travel Prague, I would go to Sir Toby's with out a second thought.
Staff were very helpful but at times rude as well. Our room was fantastic & spacious. A little out from the city centre but easy enough to get into there but tram.
very nice hostel! spacious rooms and lockers, good value for money breakfast, amazing free barbecue in the garden, nice people, nice bar and very helpful advices from the staff. We loved our stay there even though it's far away from the city center by walk but near an amazing club/bar (crossclub), contemporary art place (dox), cheap hungarian restaurant and close to the center in10min by transportation. It's also nice to be out of the touristic area. I would definitely come back.
great atmosphere. perfect for who's travelling on his own!
Much more like a hotel than a hostel. Everything was really clean, the staff were really friendly and the walking tour was really good as it focused less on tourist sites and more on the lesser known parts of Prague. The breakfast was amazing, and the bar in the basement was fantastic. Very close to a tram stop, so it's easy to get to the centre. Highly recommended.
