Super friendly staff!!! Extremely helpful with great advice. Tasty free breakfast! Dorm room pods are great. Staff make a great effort to get to know you!!! Highly recommend six degrees. Good local food available across the street.
Six Degrees was one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in (and I stayed in quiet a lot). The staff is very friendly and helpful, the pooltable, Nemo the cat and a lot of Sofas make a comfy atmosphere wehere you can hang out and relax. The beds are comfortable and although it's an 8 bed dorm you can still have privacy by closing the curtains. Didn't like Jakarta that much, but I would ever go back in this hostel.
The lady owner was really sweet and helpfull, but the guy working there wasn't welling to help us because we booked only one night there ! He made us feel like we didn't belong there !
I recommend six degrees, it is clean and the staff are very friendly, it is cheaper than other hostel

The Irish owner is a really nice guy and very helpful. The common area is cool with pool ,darts, internet, tv, dvds, sofas etc and the dorms are fine with decent lockers. It's location is i guess fine but Jakarta doesn't have a central area anyway so i don't think any area is better than any other.
I don't think there's a better launching point in Jakarta for travellers starting a tour of Indonesia from West Java. The atmosphere Six Degrees demonstrates is exactly what every hostel should strive to emulate. From the moment you walk through the front door to the sad last minutes before leaving, this place lives up to every expectation one would have from reading the description and reviews from other travellers. Terimah Kasih! Derek
We stayed only 1 night and arrived late and left early, but the staff was very welcoming and polite. They helped us figure out transport and were very informative. Also they had the most comfortable beds we'd slept in as far as Hostels go, much needed! Thanks Six Degrees.
Great hostel, social atmosphere and great facilities. Pool table, tv room, Internet is speedy, the staff are great and breakfast is delicious. Beds were comfy if a little bit squeaky. No complaints and would stay again!
Best hostel we've stayed in in Asia so far (7 months travel). Breakfast is awesome, facilities are excellent and staff are very helpful. Location could be better but Jakarta is so huge you're never going to be close to everything.
Good located and an original backpacker hostel.
I have been to quite a number of hostels all over the world, and Six Degrees is definitely one of the best. It is stylish, cozy and most importantly, clean. The facilities are awesome and the location is great. The owner is superbly friendly and they are very proud of their hostel. One of my friend in my travel group said the hostel "turned him on" and he enjoyed the trip very much!
First time In a hostel by myself so was nervous! Needn't have worried met some great people to travel through Indonesia with! Staff are excellent as facilities are awesome! Good job really as there's not much to do in Jakarta!

the hostel is generally clean and the 8 bed dorm is in fact nicer than the 6 bed dorm, because the 8 bed dorm has sleeping modules and that gives you more privacy and a better sleep. the hostel is owned by a couple and has local staff working there. the man of the couple, david, is a very correct person and helpful. his wife though ... well, that depends the mood of the day. she can be very nice but she can also be very moody and react quite harshly.
The hostel made my trip to Jakarta worth going to. I planned WAY too much time in that city, but the hostel was so much fun, with the people, the reccommendations, and the help they gave. I would definetely reccommend it to people
