We had a great time at the Skye hostel. The staff is very helpful and friendly and offered lots of tips and possibilities what to do on Skye. We can only recommend this hostel! You'll have a great time!

the atmosphere was depressed,not frienly,a bit sulky.The unpleasant situation happened to me when the staff demanded to pay more money ignoring my booking through Hostelworld.The hostel should have noticed if they meant the room, caravan at cold weather.But they've never mentioned it at the web.During the conversation,she was high-handed,domineering.Even though its their problme of management, but my stay was uncomfotable.other major staff also was not friendly and even mad at me

Didnt stay as I got distracted up the island. Popped in to say hello and pay for my bed and it looked pretty cool.

Lovely stay. The staff was so helpful and nice, we absolutely loved her!

Staff were lovely, the location was right near the bus stop and the views were amazing, access to the local pub was handy (yummy pub meals!), and even though there was a short bus to the supermarket I immensely enjoyed the 45-minute walk. Free coffee was really helpful after a night at the pub. I assume the lack of TV was to make people socialise more, but it would´ve been nice to have TV for a little while.

It was nice to stay there..Placed in a wonderful loaction and free to do what ever you want. Simply enjoyable :-)

Great staff, amazing little cookbook in the kitchen put together by the guests. Great views of the mountains!

The staff was sooooo helpful! She noticed the best fitting times for the buses that I could see the Isle of Skye in just one day (which is definitiv too less!) A typical (means: great) mac backpackers scotland hostel: nice atmosphere, good location, robust beds, colourful rooms, few toilets/ showers, excellent staff! Only thing to complain about: Be aware of the steps!!!
