Ronny and family are great to deal with. Would stay there again.

Basic hostel with nice staff and a good atmosphere in the centre of the small town. Easy to get to the cloud forest by bus from here. Onward travel can be arranged by the hostel. Breakfast is good.
Very affordable with nice ensuite rooms available, right off the main drag in the center of town. Comfortable beds, good wifi, nice breakfast included. You can book your tours right in the hostel.
Nice place to stay but a bit cold and noisy at night cause of the wind (we are high near a cloud forest so it's humid) Staff friendly, though laundry is a bit expensive
This was by far the best value hostel we stayed in during our travels. We were so happy with the service from Ronny and his family. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds were lovely with a lovely soft blanket (you need it up there at night!) and included in the already cheap price you get a great breakfast! We also had some laundry done and it was done really quickly and for a good price. Booking our tours through the hostel was great also. Picked up on time and best price.
The only thing I didn't like about this place was the downstairs common room. It's not really relaxing as there are many people passing through. Everything else was great. The English speaking staff are very friendly and helpful. A generous breakfast of eggs and toast, fruit and cereal is served everyday as well as free coffee. Both the dorm rooms and private rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious and there's hot water for showers. You can book tours through reception. Recommended.
We stayed in a double private for $15/night and it was basically a penthouse apartment with its own kitchen and bathroom. Great location and staff! It was also cleaned every day for us. Would definitely return!
Great family running the place. Helped us arrange some things to do, made a wonderful free breakfast as well. Nice private room, very clean, hot water shower, we enjoyed staying here.
They were VERY informative and helpful with our travels. Loved the place!

Helpfull staff, nice rooms, well-equipped kitchen. Good hostel the only problem I had was that the kitchen closes at 9 and only opens at 7AM. So if you have an early bus to catch, you need to get your food out the night before... Other than that, I can't complain!
Had an amazing stay here. I forgot the owner's name but he was fantastic. When we checked in, he was welcoming and kind and offered up advice right away for activities. The room was clean and there were chairs outside on the balcony to sit in the sun. Second morning remembered the breakfast which was fantastic--they seated us and owner and wife served us cereal, fresh fruit and scrambled eggs. After moving to another hotel for our third night we continued to contact Sleepers for our excursions.

Sleepers was an excellent value. Ronny and his wife are both super nice and very helpful in setting up activities and making sure you're on time for everything. Although it was on the quieter side, that appears to be the case for the entire area. I really got the family vibe at this hostel and felt like I was at home. I'd definitely stay here again.
Sleepers was a nice place...stayed in a semi private. The facilities were clean. Showeres were hot (took a little fidgeting, but that's ok). Free breakfast in the morning, was a nice bonus. Sleepers is family owned, Ronny and his wife were both very friendly and helpful. Ronny went above and beyond in helping to book things that we wanted to do while in Monteverde.
We had a great stay at this hostel! The guy who owns the place was so so helpful in helping us organise trips for ziplining, the cloud forest, butterfly garden, night walk and boat to Arenal, all of which is ended up organising through the hostel (and saved us money). He had helpful information about walks too, which we didn't have time for. Location is great, right in the centre of town. Breakfast was great! Cornflakes, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast and tea and coffee every morning.
the private room that we had was very spacious, as was the ensuite bathroom. nicely situated within town. free breakfast was also a great touch! overall, a great bargain for what you are paying.
Great hostel, run by a friendly and helpful family... great location, excellent breakfast, comfy beds, hot water in showers, and brilliant value for money... THE backpacker place to stay in Monteverde
By far the best hostel we came across in Costa Rica, never mind one of the cheapest. The shower was amazing (with hot water!), the free breakfast was delicious (fruit, cereal, eggs, toast and coffee), amd everything was super clean and safe. The only issue we had was with a toilet that ran a bit, but really nothing worth complaining about. Would gladly stay here again.
Fantastic value hostel. Comfortable, big beds, very clean, good kitchen, helpful staff. Could be a bit noisy depending on your room.
