the guy on the reception was totally drunk and very unfriendly. the place could be nice if stuff there would care about the hostel.one of the worst hostels i have been.i wouldn't recommend this.there are better places
It was too expensive for what it had to offer. When we arrived, the light in our bedroom wasn't working, and when we told the man in charge he said they didn't have any more light bulbs, so our bedroom was in the dark during the two days we stayed there. Besides, they didn't let us pay with a credit card (although in the website they said they accepted credit card & cash) and the staff was rude.
The 4 beds-room at 24€ per night per person is a stinky run down cupboard, without window. The bathrooms are old, the electricity is dilapidated, everything misses in the kitchen (especially a cooker), the cleaning is approximative, the common areas are limited to a dirty coach in a 2m2 courtyard, 2 receptionists on the 3 are just frightening, the hostel is on a ugly place in front of the rail station and closed to a psychiatric hospital.
No printer for guests… Staff really not helpful… You can do the shower only if nobody is using the restroom… awful common spaces…

Well if u guys only stay for a night or two, you will be tots fine!Just make sure u bring earplugs,in case u sleep close to the street and glass recyckling containers, which they do use around midnight ;) Theres no breakfast included as they offer. They do hand out towels for free and the wifi is working very well! The matresses need to be changed! (I stayed 8 nights and had some dificulties, booked a 4 dorm, got a 6, paid double price/night. Finally worked it out tho, depends who u talk to!)
My friend and I booked here because of the low price and it's location near the train station. However, the atmosphere left a lot to hope for in that some of the other patrons seemed questionable and the receptionist was not welcoming or available much of our time there. The facilities were dark and foreboding with a lack of secure storage for our things - we only stayed one night. It is one of the cases where you get what you pay for!
The whole hostel smelled cigar, even in the kitchen. Inside the bedroom under the bed was full of dust, looking like no one had cleaned it for months! And to get worst the staff wasn't the most friendly ever.. I don't recommend you to stay in this hostel. Faro is a small town, so wherever you stay in the city centre will be a good location. But again, don't stay in Sleepin Faro!
I stayed in low season but it was grand..
