Very good, relaxed environment with heaps of socialising. Becky is a great host that you will want to meet. Perhaps the location is something to bear in mind. Kind of in-between the station and central Hualien but still within walking distance from both if you like longer walks (I didn't mind). You can hire a bicycle from one of the many bicycle hire shops near the hostel that provide you with a great way to see the town.
Sleeping boot hostel is really lovely. Staff are great (esp Becky) and can speak English well. Position is between downtown & the train station. Universal power points too ;)
Nice and helpful staff, a little bit noisy at night since the room is close to the steer. The place is a little it far away from the train station in between the station and the city center of Hualien.
I had a great time even though I was just there for one night, staff were friendly and helpful and great to talk to. Not a lot of sound isolation (I'm a light sleeper) but everything was so comfortable I slept well anyway!
The hostess is very nice. Next time, I will choose it again.
Nice stay, though the room is a bit small but it is very clean and the staff are very friendly.
This hostel is little bit far from train station, it may take 10 mins from there. The room is nice. The people is helpful. I really love the map they drewn.

Cozy hostel, would love to stay again.
Spotless clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy, quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly and welcoming staff team. Easy to find location, walking distance from Hualien Main Station.
The staff is super nice! Paul and Becky were really friendly :) The room is $15 a night so you get what you pay for. The location is a bit far from the train station by walking if you have a lot of luggage
Helpful and nice staff ... Enjoyed my stay there with my dad
Exceptionally clean and very friendly eager to help staff. Location was good about 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Would be nice to be able to have a beer in the common area, but no drinking allowed. Not as much of a social hostel but comfortable, efficient, and clean.
One of the best hostels I ever stayed in. Friendly staff (he gave me a ride on his scooter to the laundry shop). Very clean hostel. It is not allowed to drink alcohol in the hostel....
Very good WiFi. Discounted rates for bike rentals at a particular bike shop (GIANT).
Paul is nice and very helpful, he helped us book a train back to Taipei, and recommend a city walk and food as well. The hotel is on the way between train station and city centre. It's a bit far for the travellers, who just stop at Hualienb to Taroko. However, I do recommend.
