Very hospitable and friendly owner. Staff will take the time to sit down with you and explain your options for visiting Hualien and Toroko Gorge. Customer service is great! Because of the staffs' attention to detail and staying on top of things, I decided to visit Toroko Gorge a day earlier than planned since a very popular trail was closing for two-months the next day. The hostel is a quick 12-15 mins walk from the train station.
What sets this hostel apart from others I had stayed in Taiwan is the customer service provided by the owner and staff ! They are very helpful in helping planning my trip and go out of their way in assisting us. Chi Fong was really really helpful and kind. Many thanks to you. Will highly recommend this hostel to any traveller staying in Hualien !!!
10 mins from Hualien Train station, nice and clean rooms, friendly staff! rent a scooter and you can easily visit places like taroko and even places further away! rental cost 400 taiwan dollar per day on average!
Feng is so nice. He will tell u everything u will need. It's a cozy and clean house. If I come back to hualien ,I will stay here again!
The host of sleeping boot is soooooooooo nice,I really enjoy five days in there.
walking distance to the town and to the train station.
The moment I reached the hostel, the staff gave me a brief orientation on the sights to see and the recommended food around the area. Very helpful and useful for me as I was a little lost and not sure what to do. They constantly check on me, as a lone traveller, making me feel really at home in the hostel. Highly recommended.
Staff are super nice, even treated two of us for breakfast. Also, they kept tabs on what everyone was doing and helped organise people for excursions, etc, to save money. The only downside is the lack of showers, but actually this didn't seem to be a problem, the guests were quick, and I was able to shower pretty much when I chose. Also, there is no washing machine, but you can hand wash, or there is a self-serve laundrette almost across the street if you have a full load.
