Max and staffs provide excellent customer service, really made you feel at home. She is very resourceful, friendly and knows Yunnan province with intimate details. The room are comfortable with warm soft pillow and beds. Breakfast is a MUST order, the home-made Pizza and toast are best in class! The surrounding environment is just perfect, quiet and peaceful. Max from Sleepy Fish made us feel totally welcome, especially considering we changed our booking at the last minute. The room was beautiful and the location was perfect- just far enough from the touristy area to relax, but close enough to get to easily (even with our 2 small daughters). Her breakfasts were awesome with delicious home made bread. Max was also very helpful with local info. Wow, this was the most beautyfull guesthouse i ever stayed at in Asia. The rooms have been very nice and clean for a really good price. But mostly I enjoyed the view: every morning when i woke up, i could see these beautyfull mountains. The Staff at the Hotel is really easygoing and helpful. I had a nice stay and if i would go to Dali again, i would stay there again.Wow, this was the most beautyfull guesthouse i ever stayed at in Asia. We enjoyed very much our stay at the Sleepy Fish. It is located inside old Dali in a quiet area, 10-15 minutes walk from the center of old Dali, and ran by two native english speakers Max and Tracy, who were extremely friendly and gave us many useful tips about Dali and its surroundings. The place was clean and inviting, very nice garden with two freindly dogs. The rooms were large and clean. Very recommended!We enjoyed very much our stay at the Sleepy Fish. The hostel was very, very nice, with a garden to sit in and a nice view of the mountains. The rooms and the shower were the best we've seen in China this holiday and very clean. The room had also a balcony. The located was just a few minutes walking from the bus stop (if you come from Lijang). The staff was very friendly and helpfully. We were very pleased with our stay at the Sleepyfish. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The place is run by a couple westerners who were extremely helpful in advising us on what to see and do. It was nice to have someone that could speak English fluently to advise us especially since English speakers are few and far between in this part of china. They have some good food too. We had a good experience in Dali and would recommend the Sleepyfish. We were very pleased with our stay at the Sleepyfish. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
