A great place with great staff. Work needs to be done to make the hot water claim a reality. During our last 5 nights at the Sleepyfish only 2 of them had hot water. Otherwise a great place if you want a clean room with a nice feeling.

Staff was extremely helpful and the facilities were great. Highly recommend.

We were made very welcome and had an excellent stay. The staff were very friendly and helped us explore and get the most out of the area and make onward bookings. We hope to return and would recommend it to others wholeheartedly.

Great place to stay. A bit of a walk from the center of town but we enjoyed being a 20 minutes walk away. Plus it was quieter. Great friendly and helpful young woman at front desk. Breakfast good and a bargain. Room big, clean, and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hostel.

Really wonderful place. Good food and great staff. Comfortable clean room. A little bit of a walk to the sights but not bad. I'm not sure what's typically available in hostels in China but our Chinese guest would have prefered slippers and I'm used to them staying in China now as well.

Nice place to stay, comfortable beds, clean and better than any hotel we stayed in. Its about 20min walk from the centre in a quiet area and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are not a dog lover though probably not a good place to stay, they have a very boisterous puppy at the moment which wants to play, barks, jumps on you, will bite your clothes and tries to steal your napkins if you eat at the hostel!

It's not right in Old Town so it's very quiet. If you're looking for a place to meet people and be near the bars then this isn't the best place. But it's a very relaxing atmosphere and they really make you feel at home.

The real home away from home experience. Engaging staff, all spoke english very well. Spacious and very clean rooms. The welcome package (a self made booklet with information of the surrounding area) was much appreciated. We recommend staying here when visiting Dali.
