Staff extremely helpful and friendly

This place rocks, the staff were so welcoming on arrival. They informed me about all the great bands that were playing in the music venues and where was good to grab a bite to eat. WiFi is no problem as it is provided through out the building. I found the cleanliness exemplary and enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning.

The hostel was great overall, very clean and very friendly helpful staff! It's not in the city centre, but I preferred it that way, it was quiet and still only 5 minute walk to everything... Kitchen was big, well organized and very clean. Lots of stuff to read, or watch a movie or just chill at one of the lounges downstairs...great place. Because the hostel is so big, the atmosphere seemed a bit impersonal, but it was alright.

The hostel is very nice! The kitchen is perfect! The only thing I would say is that it gets little noisy on the streeet at night when you open the window.

Very busy and bustling but well run, with a large, functional kitchen/dining area.

Nice location because of free car park near Sleepzone hostel. Quite busy area so night was very loud but anyway it was good hostel to stay overnight.

We liked Sleepzone so much we added two nights to our stay. Very clean, staff were helpful and made some great recommendations of what to do in Galway. Free toast and cereal every morning. The only drawback was the loud drunk people on the road below.

Excellent hostel, staff and facilities, thank you.

Everything is good except that it would be really really noisy in the mid night. Drank people shout and sing outside of the hostel in the street right in front of the hostel almost everyday from 1am to 3am. Just be prepared with ear plugs.

As always, the staff was amazing, the place was very clean and welcoming = a perfect place to stay in Galway for a long or a short period of time!

The staff was extremely charming, helpful, and knowledgeable. The only downsides we encountered were the noise level in the courtyard after dark and having to change rooms every night of our 3 night stay.

A big shout-out to Sleepzone for a wonderful stay. The facilities are just fab; free computers, WiFi throughout, free towels and breakfast included.

What a cracking hostel! I got my bed for €9.99 with breakfast included, what's not to love!?

Very expensive for the service provided. 25 euros a night to have a slice of bread and jam full of butter with one spoon to share. only 3 plugs for the room. No locker in the room. It was ok for my space but other girls did not have space for luggage or small luggage in the room.

Owner Comment (Hide)
The price you paid was actually less than €25 a night and for that we provide a continental breakfast which includes tea/coffee, toast, jams and cereals; free towels, free internet and the rooms are Wi-Fi enabled. You chose the large 10bed dorm which is obviously busier than the smaller dorms but we do have luggage storage options both in our luggage room and in safe deposit boxes at reception (free if you bring your own lock).

There are no outlets in the bathrooms for hair dryers, straighteners etc. so if you're planning on blow drying your hair, plan on going to the laundry room for a suitable outlet. This is a large hostel and the first night I was there there was a large crowd in the court yard yelling, playing loud music etc. all night, so bring ear plugs or headphones. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and showers are hot and nice.

This is without a doubt, the best hostel in Galway city and it has stood the test of time. The staff are second to none and go out of their way to assist all guests. The cleaning staff are also worth a mention as the cleanliness is a hugh credit to them.

We stayed 1 night in a double bedroom shared bath in an apartment next door to the hostel. Our room was closest to the street, therefore didn't have a good night's sleep. Wifi is not available in apartments either. Paid parking down the street.

Good place! Largish hostel, plenty going on all the time. The staff were great! Breakfast -- need cereal other than cornflakes. Wifi worked well throughout the building. Washing machines etc worked well. Showers had hot water.. beds were comfy. Very pro hostel, will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Galway.
