This is without a doubt, the best hostel in Galway city and it has stood the test of time. The staff are second to none and go out of their way to assist all guests. The cleaning staff are also worth a mention as the cleanliness is a hugh credit to them.

We stayed 1 night in a double bedroom shared bath in an apartment next door to the hostel. Our room was closest to the street, therefore didn't have a good night's sleep. Wifi is not available in apartments either. Paid parking down the street.

Good place! Largish hostel, plenty going on all the time. The staff were great! Breakfast -- need cereal other than cornflakes. Wifi worked well throughout the building. Washing machines etc worked well. Showers had hot water.. beds were comfy. Very pro hostel, will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Galway.

Warm welcome, caring staff who gave good recommendations for my one night stay in Galway. Cleanliness and comfort were the immediate impressions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and would certainly return.

Good facilities. Nice atmosphere. The breakfast could be a little better.

It was a nice stay - stuff is nice, atmosphere is good, especially because there is a comfortable chill out area (with free WiFi and internet) were you can always find some people to talk and were it is nice to have breakfast with all the other young travellers around! The common bathroom (there's also a bathroom in the dorm but it is very small and of course not enough for six people in the morning!) is not the biggest but it's ok. One more good thing: the beds are very comfortable. :)

Great hostel! The cleaning staff is awesome and they work super hard to keep that place spotless! Thank you! Good kitchen, rooms were a good size and staff was super friendly! Just a short walk from everything. Would definitely recommend ad return.

Very clean and spacious ensuite female dorm. Excellent kitchen facilities. Hot showers and no problems connecting to the free wifi. Short walk from bus station and to city attractions. Enjoyed day tour of Cliffs of Moher that I booked at the hostel reception desk. Some noise at night from the street, but overall not bad.

Everything was on par for the hostel. I DID like the staff as people, friendly and all that, but their knowledge didn't seem quite up to par with other hostels I've stayed at.

Ventilation in bathrooms en suite very loud - could'nt sleep because two room mates were taking a shower in the middle of the night!

Greate place to stay for few days. Maybe someone could tell other guests not to shout late in the night.

Stayed 3 nights wtih two sons aged 14 & 11. They loved being able to wander around Eyre Square on their own as it was so close, and go shopping around the corner. Our purpose was to visit NUI Galway - very easy on foot (10 ro 15 mins walk) or car. TALL PEOPLE TAKE NOTE - not sure if most hostel bunk beds are short, but I'm 5'6'' and lying flat didn't quite fit onto the bed!!

Very helpful staff who know a lot about attractions and transport. Centrally located, close to everything. Grocery store around the corner. Large social areas and kitchen. Wifi is pretty good, too. Overall, an excellent hostel.

Please remove radio from kitchen area. Needs more intelligent use of lighting; Dual flush toilets.

Stayed for 4 nights Aug 29 - Sept 2, first in a 6 bed female dorm and then switched to a 4 bed female dorm. Hostel is well located and very clean. Staff on the desk are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic, beds were comfortable, and the two rooms I stayed in had small wardrobes. It would have been helpful to have wall hooks in the rooms as well. Ensuite bathrooms were bright and clean, but need more shelves and wall hooks installed.

Kitchen was fantastic, really big and spacious so easy to cook when there are lots of people, wifi worked in the rooms which was good and the showers were great, I would definitely recommend staying here !!

Kitchen at breakfast was always clean and well supplied by staff. I expected more for breakfast though. Only cornflakes, toast, butter, jam, and tea

Honestly, we could not expect more! Of course, the furniture is not especially fancy but me and my son were totally happy with Sleepzone.
